"I typically stay at the hotel when I am in the area (last time was 2 years ago) and it used to be so much better. Nothing in the hotel works anymore. When I first checked in (Sunday), the staff was so disinterested in my arrival. I went up to my room and got settled in only to find that there was no hot water to the shower. Maintenance wouldn't be available until Monday, so I transferred to a different room without any apology or offer to help move belongings. In the new room, the TV didn't work (maintenance not available until Monday - I left the following Saturday and still hadn't seen maintenance or had the TV fixed). Riding up in the elevator Monday morning and the elevator "fell" about a foot around floor 2 causing my breakfast to spill on my clothes and then lurched again when it got to the 4th floor - didn't care to use the elevator again. Every day, I had to get new key as the front desk staff couldn't get the computer to understand that I had changed rooms. This also caused them to assign my room to another guest one night and gave him a key to come into the room! Fortunately, I had the little latch thing over the door so that the poor guy didn't end up in the room with me! Checked on this in the morning and it was like this was a common occurrence, no apology or anything. The key access on the door was next to useless. It took several attempts every time I used it to get some kind of reaction from the door. About midway through my stay, I put the maid service request on the outside of my door. When I got back to the room, the sign had been moved back into the room but no clean towels or emptying of the garbage. Compared to my last visit, the property has really gone down hill. I won't be staying again and I made sure to let my host organization know that the quality of service was substandard."
"The "accomidations" for people with disabilities in the rooms/suites are so poorly plsnned and installed it's actually more difficult to stay at this hotel than one with no accomidations for the disabled. The shower seems designed to flood the bathroom and the door magnets aren't installed as well as none of the automatic doors in the entire hotel are functional. Hotel staff seem more focused on flirting with guests at reception than answering the phones. The hotel has no extra linens, pillows, or blankets available according to staff after we requested some. The "fully stocked" kitchen consisted if a weak electric 2-burner stove, a fridge/freezer combo, and a microwave. Luckily they provide a handful of butter knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons, and 2 bowls! Front desk staff were rude and flippant with my newborn-carrying wife when she locked herself out of our room. Overall a terrible place to stay. Save yourself the trouble."
"United put us up here after canceling our flight. The hotel needs updating. Phone in room didn't work so couldn't contact front desk. No sink plugs in either sinks so it's not possible to put in contact lenses without a make shift plug. (We used an upside down water bottle just in case you need it. ) no food left at end of breakfast time."
"I had stayed in Larkspur Landing South San Francisco several times due to work travel so my credit card information is saved in their system. However, I did not stay in Oct 2023, but somehow they charged me two nights, with very high rates, one for $296.62, and the other for $156.37 in October. I had called them about the fraudulent charges, the front desk checked and confirmed that she did not see my stay in the record in Oct. However, she said, I would need to contact the manager to discuss about it. I called a couple times, it either went to voice mail, or the phone wasn't picked up. Very frustrated, I called and asked the front desk for email of the manager. But the email got returned and said it wouldn't be delivered. They did not ask for follow up with me. I will give the rating on the management and customer service a ZERO! I would definitely avoid Larkspur Landing for my future visit in San Francisco!"
