"Great pear chicken salad. Great new chicken wonton appetizer. Mediocre onion soup. Onions didnt seem carmalized, watery broth, lump of cheese in bottom of bowl."

"One of the scheduled stops on a father son road trip in 2022. We had to come here due to the paranormal history! My son and I are big time paranormal geeks but this review is for the restaurant itself. Exterior was very pleasant and welcoming. Fresh flower baskets adorned the exterior strategically placed around the exterior awning. Including, some potted Mums as well! Upon entry, the walls paint a vivid picture of the establishments history. Hostess was very prompt in greeting us and getting us to a table right away. The menu had a variety of different, unique dishes among household favorites. It also included a historical story on the back. Foods presentation was standard of a restaurant but the flavors and textures were exceptional! I had the Grilled Rueben and my son, the Mac & Cheese. I tasted his and it was very good! His plate was clean very quickly, as was mine! Great food, great atmosphere and great history! An easy 5 stars and the paranormal aspect made it that much better. Didn't experience anything spooky but there is plenty to read online about it. Bottom line, a definite win if you stop! You will not be disappointed!"

"In a town without many food options this place is popular but is actually very hit or miss depending what you order. I have been here multiple times, I havent ever been disapointed in the friday fish fry, the applesauce is delicious and the potato pancakes are nice and crispy. The mac n cheese is good, but I typically dont feel the need to go out for something I can do at home. The one time I had the fish tacos they were very fishy (didnt taste fresh), their clam chowder is potato chowder with almost no noticable clam, and their special "short ribs" is just a typical cut of beef thrown in a slow cooker, the flavor was that of a typical pot roast (& it was covered in gravy too.) If you were looking for a slow roast & potato chowder its ok but will disappoint if you are expecting short ribs & clam. Also had some good drinks & their mocktails are quite nice (though a bit pricey) but then some misses, like the "new fashioned" drink was sickenly sweet. Generally, this place is right down the middle, its the equivalent of eating at a locally owned version of applebees, nothing is bad but nothing really stands out as a top culinary delight either."

"My wife and I are lunch here. Very expensive. I don't mind paying more if the food is above average, but it's not! Bar tenders have zero personality. Seems they like themselves to much! Bloody Mary is nothing great either."

"Great fish fry!! Potato cakes are delicious, fish was outstanding! Service was excellent. Very busy and noisy on a Friday night, definitely going to stop here again and try some of the other menu items!!"
