"I was a 4 year student at SPA. I loved it so much. Every child should have the experience of bordering school. I got life long friends. Faculty and Staff that loved all the kids like their own. I'm still in touch with some of the faculty and staff to this day."
"I have not been to this Academy, but just finished watching a TV show called "Turning Point" on BYU TV featuring your school. I was in the foster care system for 4.5 years in IL, and have always felt like our foster care system was broken. However, after learning about this amazing, progressive school, I have hope! I'm now 60 years old, but the experiences of my childhood both before and during my foster care have shaped me in ways both positive and negative. I aged out of the system with no idea what to do or what my options in life were. I heard from my case worker a grand total of 2 times in those 4+ years. I floundered a bit, but pulled together a good life with my own amazing family, through hard work, lots of therapy and a good husband. Im encouraged and in awe of the support and stability these kids are receiving. This is an inspired program and I commend all who work so hard to make it work! Thank you for caring about the kids who often fall through the cracks."
"Class of 2004:I agree change in many places is needed. I would like to be the change I'd like to see."
"These people do not care. Its nothing but a job to them. I do not recommend this place. Some adults were actually caring but most were not. They choose favorites. Also I have had over 430$ worth of items stolen and they did nothing about it."
"its a really great facility that takes very good care of the kids who live there!"
