"This 24 hour is okay at best. What's nice is that it is convenient. It's close by for me, and it's a pretty big gym with tons of equipment. Also things like a team workout room, a pool, and a basketball court, but I only use the main gym area. Equipment wise, it is both great and lacking at the same time. I can do just about everything I want to for my routine, however certain machines are either far too old to even be in the gym, or are not enough. There is only one Hamstring Curl machine. Even in my previous significantly smaller gym, there was two, one sitting and one lying. The Ab Crunch machine is so old and hard to use. Thankfully no problems with the benches and deadlift squat areas. But it really should be updated with nicer equipment overall. The most frustrating part of this 24 hour is that maintenance doesn't exist. A chest machine has been broken since I joined. And worse, one side of a cable station has been broken for months. There are only two cable stations, and this is the most popular area. People are always waiting for a freed up spot, even when the gym isn't busy. It's genuinely annoying when you can't continue your workout because 25% of the cable stations don't work. Doesn't help when for some no good reason, certain cable attachments disappear. 1 of the 3 rope attachments is gone, and the other type of rope attachments are garbage, uneven, and doesn't even FIT on the attachment part. The gym is filthy. I didn't expect to see literal dirt all over the place. Are the owners not able to hire staff to keep the place somewhat clean? I understand it's a big and busy gym, but the once a month vacuuming doesn't do anything. None of the equipment, dumbbells, barbells etc haven't been cleaned at all. We pay a decent chunk of money to come here, the very LEAST that should be done is for the gym to be somewhat clean and for all equipment to work. The place is called 24 hour, yet is open for 17 hours. On weekends it closes at 8 pm, that's so early. Usually isn't a problem for me but I don't know why then it's called 24 Hour. Other locations however are open all day. This isn't as much the fault of the gym, but the etiquette is horrible. Simple things like putting away what you use is difficult for people for some reason. Somehow dumbbells are always misplaced or missing. Last time I checked 40 pound dumbbells shouldn't be in the 15 pound slot. I do wish staff would at least give warnings to those who don't respect the gym. Overall it has a lot of problems, dirty, lacking in certain vital equipment, and non-existent maintenance. But it is a large convenient gym, so at least there's that."
"To 24 Hour Filthness I've been a member since 1997 and have finally thrown in the towel The Citrus Heights gym is so run down and disgusting everything from the equipment to the water fountains, locker room and bathroom Machines broken down for weeks at a time One of only two water fountains crusty and not working Broken tile all over the locker room and bathroom and sinks that wont shut off crusty build up on counters and around sinks and mold on floor under sink counters Im outta here Wish i could include the pics i took Btw only gave a 1 star rating because you have to at least give one to post or i wouldnt have given any"
"I read some reviews and the impressions of them are not very. This is my first hall, I have been doing for a year, and as it is quite a normal hall. The simulators (usually) are enough, in the male dressing room, too. The steam room and the bath of norms. There are people who can insure. Sometimes they are announced (but once I was not recorded :( In general, if you take a subsidy, you can go to the pool, on the basketball field and fitness, the yoga of the trainer (probably I never went there simply). It would be cool if they put an arm wrestling table."
"Very dirty place, showers never cleaned up, jacuzzi broken for last three months, water in pool is cold for winter."
"This gym has loyal customers who are friendly and encouraging..Thats where the star comes from. It needs to be upgraded , renovated, or torn down. The locker rooms are disgusting, and so is the steam room. The gym is frequently dirty. They don't clean the water fountains, so they sometimes. have nasty stuff growing on them in all different colors. It's like a petri dish. I just know people are paying a lot for their memberships and not getting what they are paying for."
