Reviews
"The Henley St Bridge. Of the two bridges that let one cross the river, it is one of them. It's the one that has more lanes so more vehicles can cross at any given time. As far as bridges in downtown Knoxille go it is definitely in the top 2."
"Wow, who knew you could leave a review for a bridge? Well, as far as bridges go, it's fairly nice, especially since the refit at the beginning of the century. The sidewalks are nice and high to protect pedestrians and the road surface is very smooth. It is also a nice place for homeless people to hang out under, apparently. It still has all the Charm of the rag pickers home described in Cormac McCarthy's Suttree."
"Viewed this impressive bridge from the water as we passed under it. Nice design to the arches. 1931 six arch reinforced concrete construction that cost $1.1 million dollars. Named after a Revolutionary War officer, Colonel David Henley, who was stationed in Knoxville during the war."
"Beautiful bridge leading to South Knoxville! One of the main arteries in our community for traffic. Used to be the home of Boomsday Firework display. Definitely worth a visit when downtown."
