"Very quiet and peaceful except for the plant across the river makes constant noise. Otherwise, I had no one to bother me at the time I visited."
"Small Park, Quite.... until the neighbors dog won't quit barking..."
"It was a beautiful autumnal day to share with a friend, the sounds of suburbia, and the steely blue sky overhead. Bird sounds were pleasent and immersed us into a world of nature. Ample covered picnic benches are available for the sun and rain-averse, tho' we sat on the ground. One lonely bench overlooks the water, perfect for deep thoughts and ferry boat watching (we saw two). A curious fenced-in 10x10 enclosure with barbed wire left us wondering if it was to keep something in or something out, haha! While the intention of the fence is unknown it's effectiveness is without question. Wild berrys grow near the water's edge; their edibility will have to be further researched but one could say they do add a lovely elegance to the park itself. A nice paved walking path circumnavigates the park and I can imagine this gets some use when the park is really busy. Park grounds were well kempt, though the double-slide playground was a bit dingy for my liking - the seat of my trousers got dirty but I don't regret trying the slides. The biggest disappointment though, was not being witness to a train passing over the bridge above the water; the hope remains even as I depart."
"We were in town for a concert and decided to drive around. We happened upon this park. Quaint little place. Beautiful view of the river. Small children need to be supervised as there is no way to keep the from going in."
"We stopped here for a quick picnic for my wife's birthday. It was quiet and pretty. Lots of trumpet vine growing by the shore. Geese, too! They looked like hoodlums but they didn't bother us. The garbage cans were overflowing and, for some reason, there was a head rest from a car seat next to our picnic table. We also don't know why you would build a park around a gas pipeline. Still, we had a lovely time there in the hot early afternoon."
