"Great easy technical trail runs. Really flat with rocks/roots to keep it interesting. Both the day loop and the Volunteer Trail are fun but obviously limited in the mileage they offer. Trails can be pretty slick when wet so beware. There is a Porto at the parking lot but no potable water."
"Beautiful intermediate trails that are well marked. Caution for first time hikers: These 2 trails are not paved. Make sure to wear good shoes and bring something to drink. Keep in mind the Volunteer trail is a 5.5 mile out-and-back making it 11 miles total. *The paved 2 mile loop is Couchville Lake Trail"
"Great trail, not necessarily spectacular views, but it's a nice hike for exercise and just getting outside"
"Beautiful trail. I was on Volunteer Trail. I love the casual hike. There were people who did not have their dogs on leashes which I did not appreciate. But other than that I love going there just to get out."
"Long Hunter State Trail / Day Loop. Sweet little walk along the lake. Easy path, easy to follow with good signage. Nice loop. Parking lot was pretty full but the trail didn't feel busy at all."
