"We had gottten our dog who use to be youngun but is now know by the name of Dwayne. He has changed our lives so much and has filled so much happiness in our heart and he is the smartest boy. When Dwayne is ready for a sibling we will definitely be coming here to get her!"
"Y’all seriously need to work on timeliness when it comes to rescuing animals. I have called TWO DAYS IN A ROW about two (now three) dogs that are starving to death and freezing in a cemetery and y’all have done absolutely nothing to help. You showed up hours after I called the first time and the dogs were nowhere to be found by the time you arrived. You have yet to show up 2 hours after calling a second day in a row after the dogs have reappeared. Two of the dogs are aggressive and have been interrupting funerals and trying to bite people, and I EXPLICITLY STATED THIS to you all when I called the animal control line. Like seriously? Come tf on. Starving, cold animals should take priority. Especially if they are trying to bite others and are interfering with a business’s services. You clearly are not concerned about the lives of these animals, otherwise time would be of the essence and you would be here in a somewhat timely manner, not 2+ hours after being contacted. Either hire more hands or stop offering the rescue service if you’re not going to be punctual when an animal’s life and the safety of humans are both on the line"
"Hera (Our Brindle) was so thin, heart worm (+) and within hours of being euthanized. My boyfriend had already found the doggie for him, Amy (originally named Joocy Froot) but the staff at MAS pled Hera’s case so well that he had to adopt her too. Imagine my surprise when he came home with 2 dogs and I couldn’t have been happier. A worker at MAS named Hera after the Greek Goddess, and we kept that name as it is so fitting! One year later they are both thriving and Hera is now on a strict exercise regime as she is now overweight. Amy is a doll and they get along fabulously. Thank you MAS."
"Absolutely Fabulous Staff!!!! Ruthie looks scared, but I promise you her tail was wagging as we left. She is now warm, comfy and SAFE :)"
"Our experience with MAS was very overwhelmingly positive. Every member of the MAS staff we encountered — from the cheerful ladies working the reception desk to the kennel technicians — was so kind, helpful and caring and caring during the adoption process of our Grace Ann. We adopted Grace Ann, our lovely Siamese girl, over the recent Memorial Day weekend. Grace Ann was sadly traumatized and confused having lost her person and her home in a dramatic manner. Understandably, she was not real friendly at the shelter. Having once been owned by a Siamese cat, I knew with enough love and time, Grace Ann would settle down. Even though Grace Ann’s adoption was final, she had to remain at MAS until she could be spayed — about another three days. Knowing I already fell in love with her and considered her part of my family, the staff said I could visit Grace Ann as much as I wanted — which I did. I was always greeted with a smile and no one was ever too busy to lead me to Grace Ann. Finally, the day after Memorial Day, we got to bring our girl home. Almost five months later, Grace Ann has developed a kitty persona full of love, nuttiness, bossiness and sweetness. Thank you, MAS, for helping us meet and adopt Grace Ann."
