Jubilee Academy

"I attended this school in promise that it would bring me up to level in all subjects. They told me I would fit right in with everyone, but the first day I was there, I noticed most kids there weren't my age and had disabilities; none in which I have in the slightest. I felt so out of place and they constantly were hiring and letting go of teachers, too. They used books that were way below my grade level and didn’t allow me to express myself with things I was interested in (Pokémon being an example). I felt like I was forced to be happy every day and everything I said had to be censored (I couldn’t talk about real world problems). They don’t really even prepare you for the real world. Once I got out of this school I felt like I was never ready to go back to a normal school and interact with normal kids my age. All in all, not a very good school for any normal teenager; very hard to relate to anyone other than the teachers. I wish they alerted my parents and I that this school was for people with disabilities. That would’ve been nice to know beforehand."

"Wonderful opportunity for students with learning challenges to receive individualized instruction from skilled and caring teachers. The director is a suberb administrator and math instructor. She is both knowledgeable and approachable. I highly recommend Jubilee Academy."
