"I had my second baby here after having my first elsewhere. I was amazed at the difference. This hospital provided excellent medical care, but more importantly, I was seen as a human, not a number. Everyone I encountered in labor and delivery, OB high risk, postpartum care, and the NICU were amazing. My OB, Dr. Burch, provided wonderful care, even though i had a plethora of problems while in the hospital. I always was informed of every step being taken before any treatment or procedure began. The NICU were especially amazing as they not only cared for our little one, but they sent lactation to work with me, taught me all kinds of child care info that I didn't know even having had a child before, and allowed me 24/7 access to my baby even though he was in tye NICU for 2 weeks. Lactation was also wonderfully helpful and made feeding much more successful than with my first baby, and even called after I was discharged to check on how feeding was progressing. In short, I will be going to st thomas for all my medical needs from here on out, and I recommend them highly to anyone who needs care."
