"We've been with Farm Bureau for 20 years. When our condo master policy changed to include a $50,000 loss prevention, FB told us they could only cover us for $10,000, leaving us a $40,000 gap in our coverage. They also were less than interested in doing a proper insurance review and increasing our overall policy to make sure we're adequately insured. Since when does an agent not want to write a larger policy? Not once in 20 years had they recommended a review of our coverage. Two other agencies provided professional market estimates from independent agencies for what our replacement value would be and it was double the coverage what Farm Bureau finally offered us. The other agencies also had no problem providing the $50,000 loss prevention coverage. They both told me $50,000 was becoming pretty standard. We're saving a significant amount of money for significantly better coverage. Ultimately, we felt FB no longer exhibited professional knowledge or expertise. Don't be swayed by loyalty. It won't cover the gaps in your insurance. Shop around for who wants to truly provide you the best service and products."
