"I recently had an awesome time at Gents with Alex. He talked with me a lot to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted. He really listened to what I liked. I liked her suggestions for how to style my hair and keep it looking good. What I really liked was how Alex could change things up to fit what I wanted, but still add his own cool ideas. He was super nice the whole time, which made it feel cozy and chill. The way he made my haircut special showed how creative and dedicated he is. I totally recommend this barber shop to anyone who wants more than just a haircut. It's a fun and personalized grooming experience."

"Came in today for the first time. Was checked in at 3:09, and they made me a 3:30 appointment. I stayed in the waiting area. Around 3:40, I'm assigned to a woman whose name I can't recall. I'm offered a whiskey then, but I can barely take one sip before she asks me to put it down so she doesn't get hair in it. Haircut was fine. She cut one side a bit too short, and it proceeded to stick up, and she never addressed it. Beard trim was very sub-par and ended up being painful. When she tried to round at the bottom of my beard at my request, the clippers she used caused lots of irritation, which I don't normally experience. I wasn't offered anything to help and it became very painful during my drive home. Overall unhappy, was hoping beard trim would be more extensive. I mentioned many times that I want it to look as neat as possible, but it doesn't look like much of an improvement. Also, the stylist next to us kept mentioning to mine that she was running behind and the next client would be there soon. It made it feel rushed."

I've followed Alan around to three different shops so when Alan went to Gents Barber Club, I was all in. Alan is personable, friendly, professional, but more than anything, an artisan of his craft. He once gave me the advice to not be afraid to tell a barber exactly what you want. I told him once, and I never have to think about it again.
