"Cades Cove scenic loop (11 miles) comes highly recommended and we can agree. A single lane one way road. Several historic cabins, the John Oliver Cabin included and churches to check out. A real good visitors center with restrooms. There is a $5 parking permit required if you plan on stopping for more than 15 mins at any spot."
