About the Business
1-Tuckaleechee Retreat Center is a peaceful haven located at 160 Bear Lodge Drive in Townsend, Tennessee, United States. As a lodging, real estate, and travel agency, we aim to support the work of Children’s Bible Ministries while providing a place of rest and rejuvenation for churches, groups, families, couples, and individuals in the midst of God's beautiful creation.
Guests have raved about their experiences at our center, with one visitor noting the unexpected luxury of their cabin and the amazing salt water pool. Another large family enjoyed their stay in the Elk Lodge and two-bedroom cabin, making use of the spacious open room for family games and the pool for the kids' enjoyment.

"Wonderful lodge for our ladies retreat!!! Everything was clean, well stocked with everything they told us would be there. Very friendly & accommodating staff. Absolutely stunning views!! Can't wait to go again..."
"My immediate family and I just took a trip here. It’s a very nice place. Cabins seem up to date on most things. During the summer, it does get a little stuffy in the house AC wise. You can’t put the thermostat below 70. Which being in a house with 17 other people, the cabin doesn’t really cool down much. Outside of that, the amenities were great! We had a hot tub, huge kitchen space and access to the pool. The retreat center is about 10-15 minutes from restaurants and shopping. You’ll have about a 30 minute drive to hiking spots. If you stay in the Bear Lodge like we did, make sure you have a car that can handle steep inclines. ESPECIALLY in the winter. You’ll want to have four wheel drive for sure! I had a RAV4 two wheel drive over the summer. Threw it into 2nd gear and it worked fine. But during the winter I’d highly recommend 4 wheel or all wheel drive. The road is paved which makes a huge difference! All in all, it was a great place for us, affordable and we’ll definitely be back!"
"Delightful place! I spent most of my time in the rocking chairs on the porch or in the hot tub on the patio, both of which boast of beautiful mountain views. The inside was great as well, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice furniture, solid internet. All in all a delightful experience."
