"The maintenance guys came this afternoon and looked at the leak that we had in the kitchen under the sink. One of them told that the one piece where the leak was coming from was not originally put on right so him fixed it but he also noticed that there were in some other areas under the sink that aren't right so he told us that he has ordered those pieces once they come in he will replace them. He told that we aren't the only ones that there are a few other units that have the same problem. He did say for now that the leak that we were having has been fixed."
"I only lived here for a year, and let me tell you, it was interesting, to say the least. First off, when we first moved in, we were supposed to go to a unit in a far building, but we were told we had to wait an additional 10 days for the unit to be fumigated. My husband and I spent over $1k at a hotel for those 10 days. Once the unit was available, we found it to be infected with cockroaches, which literally poured out of a rotted hole of the bathroom cabinet. After talking with the property managed, they moved us to a different unit in a different building. We thought that was the last of our problems... we were wrong. Over that year, they had lots of renovations done to multiple apartments, which resulted in many workers being in and out of everyone's units almost on a bi-monthly basis for many days at a time. The second month I lived here was spend mopping up water that had trickled down from the 3rd floor and flooded my bathroom, hallway, and utility closet. I lived on the 1st floor. This resulted in the drywall being ripped out of the bathroom and utility closet and many fans and dehumidifiers placed in my unit. They didn't finally put in new drywall and re-mud it until months later, leaving exposed wiring, pipes, and wooden beams. We got charged a small monthly "convenience " fee for a gym that they didn't actually build until the last month of our lease. Their laundry facilities were trash with half the machines broken and the basement room where they were flooding every time it rained, and we had to wait 6 months before they put in a 2in1 washer/dryer that barely worked and would flood the closet floor. There were constant roach, spider, and Asian lady beetle infestations. They had a guy come in once a month to spray units, but it didn't do anything to prevent or deter pests. With all of this, they still had the audacity to charge $1,500 a month. I lived in a 2B 1.5bath. Never again."
"This place has everything we wanted at such a good price! Close to the mall (my fav) and so many other things. They are older buildings but newly renovated and at first glance everything looks good but up close you can see (at least in our unit) that things were renovated kind of lazily. We don’t have outlets in our bathrooms, which is weird, so I think that’s my only real complaint about the reno. The other things are more aesthetic things I guess and anyone coming over probably wouldn’t notice. From my experience staff is great and easy to work with! Little sad the pool closed Labor Day weekend, seems too soon but understandable, but the pool is a good size with layout chairs and so clean and pretty! I haven’t been to the gym yet, but my roommate has and she said it was great. Plenty of guest parking and trash is easy to take out from my unit. So far so great! LOVE Ivy at West Hills!"
"I’ve been here for two years now and it’s been a nice stay for my first apartment! Upon moving in the staff was kind and they fix things quickly. You get a lot of space for a decent price and super close to downtown and west Knox. Quiet complex most of the time. Wish there was a bit more guess parking and that the pool could stay open later than it does but other than that it’s been nice!"
"Apartments in Knoxville are crazy expensive right now, but whatever you do, don't move here. We've had problems since move-in day, when they told us we could start moving in the morning and weren't able to move in until 7 pm. They told us we weren't moving in to the unit we signed the lease for because they moved someone else in there. The outside of our building is always trashed. The photos show the state of our parking lot and dumpster that remained that way for days. From what I can tell, many people, including myself, have a bug problem. Even when pest control comes to spray, we still have bugs in our kitchen that night. Recently they've been booting and towing people's cars without notice, and I came back from vacation to find out my car wasn't here and I had to call all around Knoxville to figure out where it was towed to. Not to mention the $415 I had to spend to get it back. This place might be more affordable than others in Knoxville, but the stress and frustration is definitely not worth it."
