"Pros: - New office staff are more responsive and Available than prior staff. - not the worst place I’ve lived at - a decent amount of storage space -Maintenance responded promptly to the 4 times that I had leaks/water issues in the apartment Cons: - monthly pest control is non existent- I worked from home and no one ever came over - insulation is lacking. Would have extremely high electrical bills in the winter in order to just keep the place at 63 degrees - non-remodeled units are very out dated - it is not uncommon to find mold in the apartments - Maintenance did leave sewage in front of my door after cleaning the pipes and when they came back a week later to clean it up, still left some caked on the walkway in front of the apartment - will be charged a shampooing of carpet fee when moving out. You must provide a receipt to prove you had it done if you want to by pass the fee from Steeplechase. Overall I’d give my experience a 2.5 stars out of 5. Definitely not the worst place to live in Knoxville, but there certainly are better."
"I have lived here almost three years now. The current office staff and Management have been great and have gotten more done this last year than I have seen in the last three years. It has been nice to see the same maintenance men whenever requesting work. Before we were lucky to see the same man twice in one month. They started doing resident events, which has been nice to see as well. So thankful to have a manager that cares about the residents and the property."
"For the price you pay here (over $1500 a month) you’d think you would have a much nicer place. Paint is falling off of everything, mold behind said paint on the walls, the master toilet has NEVER flushed properly. I will not be renewing my lease here and I urge against being sucked into this mess."
"Worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. I’ve had 2 packages stolen in a week off my front door, and they do not care. They don’t have cameras and told me to file a police report. How can the police do anything when they have no proof to see who stole what. They raised my rent 350$ a month before I had to resign, no warning, not to mention it’s utterly ridiculous as is. At times they’re decent, most of the time they do not care. Office staff changes every 2 months, and ps they will paint over the flood damage in your apartment instead of checking it for mold. Would never recommend."
"First just DO NOT GET AN APARTMENT HERE THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY! let’s talk about how i’ve already asked a million times for new toliet seats, a wall doesn’t have baseboards, our upstairs bathroom had a leak in not only the toliet but also the bathtub, which caused a hole that they “patched” awful worst patch ever let me say, that popped through the first time using the shower, 2 days go by and you can start to see water marks on the ceiling so i go to tell the office, they say maintenance will be up to take a look, took them 4 try’s and finally they got the water to stop leaking inside the house, but not only now do i have huge water marks now the ceiling is starting to actually fall through. So i said something again and maintenance takes a look cuts a small hole to of course stop the leak and says “we will be back tomorrow to finish the ceiling” guess what they never came. i reminded them yet again and informed them that i will not be paying my rent if the issues in my apartment are not taken care of. it’s now been a week and nobody has came by and the leak that they “fixed” outside of my apartment is yet still leaking causing a puddle in my yard. I go down there to switch my renters insurance because i’m not gonna pay for renters insurance through them that only covers the building itself and doesn’t cover any bodily harm considering any day now my bathroom upstairs could fall through. and i explain that and how the maintenance people hasn’t been to fix any of my problems and the man who sits at the desk all day doing absolutely nothing goes “well i’m sorry about that” yeah i bet you will be sorry when i don’t pay y’all the whole 14 months i’m here. Let’s not even talk about how maintenance told us on move in day that the blinds are on back order (which was fine) just for them to come and put 4 blinds up and say they are finished, i’d like to see where are the finished blinds in my living room? and my bedroom? cant wait for my lease to be up so i can move out. and i’ve only been here a month."
