He is such a kind, caring, personable, old-fashioned doctor who actually listens to you & takes his time with you, and goes the extra mile to make sure that all your concerns are addressed promptly. You won't find any know-it-all attitude here, but instead, one of always being willing to learn & grow in his practice. In addition, NP Carla and Dr. Penniman's nurse Christy are the same - very caring, compassionate good listeners who don't get in a hurry, and are open to newer approaches to treatment. "I can’t say enough good things about this office. I had a primary care doctor and they moved out of state and ended up being shutdown. I looked for a new office for a while and I’m so glad I went with this one! Carla Hartman never rushes me out, like other offices have. She actually sits and listens to me, it’s like meeting with an old friend. I was struggling a lot with postpartum depression and anxiety. She listened to me and helped come up with a plan of action. Since then I’ve still had struggles with the new meds not working. When I had to call the office and speak with the nurse I don’t get the runaround like I did with previous doctor. They call me back quickly, and Carla always helps. Not once have I felt like an inconvenience. I know places are busy especially with all going on with this pandemic, but they handle things in a timely manner still. Carla has been nothing but helpful and kind from the start. The biggest thing is that she never makes me feel crazy, and even set me up with a therapist. The office is also extremely clean, and a very nice setting. The staff is very friendly as well. If I could give 10 stars I would."
