"My son has been seen a few times at this office. The assistants were always friendly and so was the previous doctor we seen. However, after today I have no plans of returning. Dr. Townsend was absolutely horrible with my kids. Yes, my kids were being difficult but they are ages 3 and 1. It was my 1 year old’s first time at a dentist. Then my 3 year was being seen because he busted his tooth. He was in pain not wanting anyone to look in his mouth. Dr. Townsend was incredibly impatient. Instead of trying to calm my son down he kept moving on to different patients giving my son more time to worry. He kept saying “Mom tell them not to scream! Mom tell them!” As if I wasn’t doing my best to calm them down already. Then he was yelling to get their hands and feet because it was dangerous. When he was done he told the nurse to document that my son “was very difficult, had excessive crying and screaming, it took mother and grandmother to hold him down to be seen, it even took me 3 times attempting to look at him to see him” Then he asked if I had took him to the hospital when my son fell. I said no I stopped the bleeding and the tooth was still in the roof so no. He said “document mother did not take him to hospital.” Seriously believe he needs to find another job working with adults."
"The dental assistants have always been very nice and patient. My children have been patients for years but,I will be switching them somewhere else. The last few times we have seen Townsend,he is in a rush. I understand wanting to leave at closing but,he has seemed very impatient the last few times. Definitely do not go here if you have a special needs child that is very anxious or any child that will be anxious. He is not very patient and understanding."
"Thank you so much to sweet Ms. Hannah, you made Ellies experience so wonderful, you were so patient and kind. I cannot thank you enough, you promised a Ballon to Ellie if she did the xray and you came through for her immediately, from the little girl who never got a Ballon, her overwhelming joy was so contagious, she has been playing "dentist" all day. Thank you, you are absolutely precious."
