"Good Dentist. I’ve never been a huge fan of going but Dr. Ahwal has great bedside manner. Shows you pictures and progress of what needs to be done. I really like that I went in for possibly a crown and he was able to fill the tooth instead. The old dentist I had didn’t catch the filling has an issues and the tooth had a crack"

"I was referred to Dr. Wade’s practice by the Veteran’s Administration Dental service. “Dr. Wade and his team are the best.” I find their expertise and professionalism well placed. Upon checking in, I was greeted by the front office dental team, “Welcome Mr. Williams, thank you for your service.” This pulled my heart string as a U.S. Navy veteran. After completing the necessary paperwork, I was greeted by his dental assistant, William. (This young man’s professionalism is beyond impressive, so much so, I asked him, “When are you beginning your journey to becoming a Dentist?) Once escorted to the dental chair, Dr. Wade and William also thanked me for my service. It was then I realized, I was in great hands. They kept me informed step by step, x-ray by x-ray on what to expect at each visit and future visits. As scary as going to the Dentist can be for me (actually the needle going into my gum is scary) they really made me feel at ease and welcoming. I got the impression that they really cared about my overall dental health. They were very accommodating and there was a quick turnaround on needed dental procedures. I highly recommend veterans and their dependents/family members, and civilians alike visit Dr. Wade’s practice, Parkway Dental Group in La Mesa. "This office is great! Prior to Dr. Ahwal I have been going to another dentist in La Mesa for over 12 years, until he retired. I was skeptical about finding a new office but found this one through my insurance. Little did I know I would fall in love! His office is so clean, the hygienists are extremely friendly and the staff overall are fantastic. They are kind, patient and positive. Not only did I get a cleaning done but I even chose to get my four impacted wisdom teeth removed here. Although the experience was slightly overwhelming due to not being able to be put asleep- dr awhal was very reassuring during the entire procedure. He made what could have been a terrible experience so positive. His staff are extremely informed and walked me through everything I even called to ask more questions and they were happy to assist. I recently recommended this office to my dad and brothers who are looking for a dentist as well. I would certainly recommend Dr and his team to anyone looking for an office to call home. :)"
