Courtyard by Marriott Memphis Germantown 7750 Wolf River Boulevard, Germantown, TN 38138

"I planned to stay at this property the weekend of January 19 but had to cancel last minute due to poor winter conditions in Memphis. The reservation was booked via AAA, which is where I also cancelled the booking. The property has a 48 hour cancellation policy, however I canceled 36 hours before thinking surely the fee wouldn't be applied due to the ice, snow and record low temperatures. Not only did management refuse to refund the cancellation fee, but they also refused to apply it to my rescheduled stay, the following weekend. Marriott corporate customer service emailed the property outlining the situation, with no success. So, I am eating the $110, cancelled the reservation for January 26 - 28 and am staying elsewhere. Net-net, be prepared for lack luster customer service and an inflexible management group."

"I was in the Navy so I’m particular but if I had anything I needed I went to them and they provided. The employees and management were super friendly and I can’t express that enough (every single one). Sorry for anyone’s bad experience that gave them a bad review but if you’re nice to them… then they are nice you. That’s just how things work."

"Beware. Someone in our group had their car stolen. The car was parked near their lobby door and in front of a security camera. Hotel GM would not allow police to review the footage once they arrived on the scene. The GM - Katie Page wanted to wait for the paperwork- which would take a day or two. The car was eventually recovered a few days later but was damaged. If the hotel had given police access to the camera - our chances of recovering the vehicle sooner and with less damage may have been a possibility. Not sure if the thieves were casing the hotel parking lot - or if someone working there notified the thief of the car being there. Either way - it appears risky. When the thieves were arrested- they recovered a stash of weapons. Will never stay at this property again and Marriott Corp was no help either. They were more concerned about protecting their business and not a (former?) loyal Bonvoy member. And the property needs upgrades."

"I stay at Courtyards all the time and this one was so disappointing. 1) no streaming available so couldn’t watch Netflix. 2) indoor pool was freezing cold. 3) the to-go coffee cups left in the room have lids that do not fit. 4) you have to turn left out onto a busy road to leave the hotel. 5) water pressure in the shower was terrible. 6) the whole place is just sort of clean. 7) the breakfast was not good, just microwaved food that they’re charging way too much for—it was $22 for two coffees and one meal."

"Stayed here the other night for a work trip, which was a surprise because I definitely thought I booked at the Marriott by St Francis. Pros: - front lobby smelled great! - front desk service was nice. - pillows and bed were comfy. Cons: - they didn’t have shower caps, which is typically an amenity that the front desk normally has. - water in shower was either hot or super hot. Couldn’t get cold to come out at all. - I did arrive a bit early (around 3:30 pm), but they put me in a room directly next to rooms under construction and I could hear hammers banging quite loudly. Overall, I would stay here again if I was out in the Germantown area if the construction is complete."
