"staff were nice, but they only had sizes xs & s out on display; I looked at all of the pants and they were all very small sizes & fully stocked with no variety despite them selling larger sizes (which are on the floor at the Arden location). I understand if the smaller sizes might be purchased more, but it felt very intentional. I felt bad because there was a girl working there who was about my size and I can't imagine working at a place that seems to purposely only display sizes that cater to only a "skinny" audience. it's 2023."
"I actually do not understand how they are in business! They wouldn't allow my daughter to try on 4 pieces of clothing, even though they're were others trying on and an open fitting room. So, I literally asked the employee, you would rather loose a sale and customer than allow her to try them on? The answer was they were closing in 30 minutes! Then, my daughter decided she had to have two items she had her eye on. Waited in line and when it came time to pay they weren't accepting cash because they were closing in 30 minutes! The people behind us in line, also planned on paying in cash! What a terrible business run by rude and ungrateful employees. No apologies."
"i visited two days ago in this store with my siblings to just look around, I saw an employee that has some cute cargo jeans and asked where they were at. She didn’t greet us and proceeded to point to jeans saying that the black ones were hung up. Already not having good customer service , but i ignored it thinking she was having a bad day. after finding the item we liked we went to check out and that same employee checked us out, i received a 100 that was gifted to me so i used it as a form of payment and before she even checked the bill she looked at me up and down three times not checking us out, i was confused on why she wasn’t checking us out. she said the bill was fake and the machine that she ran it through confirmed it. Which was confusing but we left telling her we don’t have any other form of payment. We stepped out to go charge my sisters phone so she can use apple pay for the item she wanted. We returned to the store and got checked out with other really sweet employees there. when i checked out i told the employee what happened before that the machine said it was fake but i wanted her to run it again that way i know for sure to not use it in another place. i also told her if it doesn’t work i have another form of payment anyways i just wanted to make it clear of the bat that i wasn’t trying ti use a counter fit bill i just wanted to to check it to be sure. The previous employee came back and started getting frustrated saying that she already tried the bill and it wasn’t working , she also proceeded to pull aside close to us to talk to her coworker saying that she assumed when we walked in we were going to steal something or be trouble because of the way we where dressed. the coworker she spoke to told her to save it for later, even her coworker tried stoping her. okay like i said at this point it wasn’t about the payment anymore since i paid and left with the item, it was the fact that the employee blatantly disrespected us and verbally assumed and judged a customer. As a consumer i don’t want to go to a store to leave feeling uncomfortable and judged by our appearance when shopping. i felt discriminated against especially when we didn’t steal anything or purposely use counterfeit bills. i deposited that same 100 bill that night at my BANK and it went through perfectly fine. This makes me question if the employees are trained in theft , they should know that appearance isn’t what they should suspect but rather peoples actions. if it was someone with malicious intent she could of been hurt for intervening."
"Manager Jill showed no interest addressing my issue. Often times, managers go above and beyond to make their customer feel understood and respected. In this case, she did not even try to understand and made my experience very unpleasant."
"I’ve been shopping at Garage for almost 4 years now. I have had so many different experiences with hundreds of different employees. My recent time I’ve been in there was yesterday (1/13) and the store was super dead I mean all of the employees/managers were talking to each other at the cash register because there were only two people shopping; me and another girl. As a retail worker myself I’m able to understand what it’s like to be the customer and the employee, and what I saw at Garage was normal. I was still customer serviced by one of the workers there and they offered their help if I needed anything. I ended up buying one of their tops that were on sale. Overall my experience in that store was great and the employees there are super sweet too."
