Big Lots

"It's okay for a big lot I believe everything is going to hell thanks to this Administration.... I think some of the prices are good and others are not The cashiers we're helpful in doing their jobs.."

"Made an order online, went inside to pick it up and the clerk at the register said I had to get in line with the rest of the customers waiting to check out. I told her, but it is already paid for, I just need to pick it up. She said get in line then. So I asked , then why do you have online pickup if everyone still has to wait in the long line? She gave me an ugly look, so I went outside and called for their curbside pickup. Still took a while but I was out of there before some of the people that were waiting in line."

"Even if shopping carts are locked up …I still like this place. I just buy what I can carry in my two hands."

"Another big chain store plagued by bad decisions on the management level and issues with the area. No where near a freeway but very centrally located on main street and first. Huge parking lot, large indoor space. The space outside is only occasionally patrolled by the shopping center security and is heavily plagued with homeless. Inside, they moved all the popular, most shopped for items to the furthest back corner amd put alot of under selling items right up front. This location heavily serves as the location for cleaning supplies for the laundromat next door. Also a affordable grocery alternative for the area. A decision was made to hide those items in the back and put seasonal, towels, appliances, and furniture in the front. Additionally staffing, they have the wrong staff filling the wrong positions. Slower moving elderly and non English speakers working the check out lanes where a check out is often 5+ not including the line. The long script they have to sell you on, plus lack of training means they do not have speedy check out. However often you can see groups of employees waiting to sell furniture or no one in the whole building other than 2 at the check out. Check out is another maze of last second goods which are marked one price but ring up another and the cashiers have no idea that a sign is posted in front of them woth the altered proce and call for assistance. The shopping carts are broken, gross, or locked up. This location was one of the best a few years ago, now it's an avoid unless I run out of soap at the laundry mat and I really need more now."

"This big lots location is well stoked and easy to navigate the isles no clutter. The outdoor furniture selection is great and lots of back to school stuff. Staff is very helpful with the merchandise offered. Parking lot sometimes gets crowded."
