"All the cool shirts and hoodies are only in sizes Small or under or XL or larger. Pretty disappointing when you wear a medium/large. I expect this in a Hot Topic in a dying mall, not one in a bougie strip. It's clean and the staff are nice, but just buy online."

"I Came in (on January 12, 2024 between 6:00-7:00pm)to find some Rock Band Hoodies for when I work out and I found the cutest one it was Smokey Grey with a heart and rhinestones. It was hung pretty high up so I asked the gentleman working if he wouldn’t mind bringing it down so I can take a closer look at it, possible try it on. So he was kind enough to do that. I requested it in a Size Small to which he replied “here’s a medium it would fit” now I wasn’t too sure I heard him correctly so I asked him if he could repeat himself and he said “The Medium will fit”. So I realize I just got told I wouldn’t fit a small. I know my own body and I’ve come a long way with my physique. I fit into XSmall and Small clothes only. Not delusional, it’s very much a fact.. so I took it from his hand in shock and I told him “it’s going to be big” to which he just smirked as he took it from me. I walked away into the back of the store trying to pull myself together before I had said some hurtful things to the man so after taking a few breaths I just decided to walk out of the store. I’m really surprised at the fact that I experienced that today. And I wish 100% that this was all false and never actually happened because then I wouldn’t be sitting down feeling bad about my size but, unfortunately it did. I really would like to talk to someone about it especially since Hottopic is a store that targets teens. I don’t think some dude who feels it’s okay to tell someone their own size should be talking to the teens of today."
