"I went through one of the most serious depressive episodes in my life triggered by overwhelming family issues and an exuberant amount of stress. After a near death experience over the holidays, I knew it was time to get a family therapist with my parents. When I say I’ve been in therapy. I’ve been in therapy. I’ve never in my life felt anxiety leaving a therapy session, this place has left more holes and confusion for myself than I ever imagined possible. Working with Allison S, I’ve never met someone so cold and dismissive. Two times our session with my estranged parents had started late due to her link she sent me not working. She’s condescending, very know-it-all type that had yet to meet her match. She insisted she would be unable to provide a different method of video chat due to my issues with my phone and computer, causing immense anxiety. I insisted that she please give me a heads up and try to work the link- she said she would call me 5 minutes before! Day of comes- 2 weeks of not speaking to my family, and the link to dial in doesn’t work (I’m gen y, I use google for a living, she refused to send a cal invite or use another platform) She bullied and used condescending “I’m sorry you feel that way” talk with me and even “do you want to reschedule” after waiting weeks for a resolution. Most awful and least dignifying experience I’ve ever had with a family therapist or therapy in general (when I mentioned this to her she said “sounds like you’ve had some great therapists”) who says that?! She is completely inexperienced for a heavy situation between families and actually did more harm than good!"
