"I've had wonderful visits with Dr. Van Dusen and Marilyn at reception. I was in a very bad mental state when I first called to make an appointment and they had a last minute cancellation the next day, Marilyn strongly encouraged me to put me health first when I let her know I had to see if I could get a day off work. She seemed to really care. I booked the appointment and I had never been on any kind of anxiety meds before and just tried using prior therapy coping mechanisms but Dr. Van Dusen listened to my concerns and addressed them all and left every question I had answered. I don't think I would have gotten through my wedding planning without her help! I am now feeling in a much better and more organized headspace because of our check ins and the meds. 10/10 would recommend seeing her!"

"Dr VanDusen is a godsend. I was very skeptical about medication to treat my anxiety but she has this ineffable way about her that makes you feel so comfortable, so in control and so much BETTER. I have recommended her so many times I wish she had a punch card system (kidding), but seriously, I am genuinely so blessed to have her in my support system. Would give 10 stars if possible."

"I’m posting this review mainly because I noticed some negative reviews while grabbing her info to refer her to a friend. I’ve been seeing Dr Van Dusen for nearly eight years now, and I’ve never had any bad experiences. I first started seeing her to continue treatment for ADHD after my old psychiatrist moved. She is very caring and has helped SO much while trying to navigate my mental health through COVID. She even referred me to a wonderful therapist that I’ve been seeing as well. I’ve also had great experiences with her secretary. She’s very on top of scheduling and helping with insurance. I had a situation about a year ago where my insurance declined coverage for my medication, and they helped me figure it out right away. She also makes scheduling very easy and always calls to remind you of your appointment beforehand (which I love!). All in all, I love Dr Van Dusen. Even though I don’t live near Park Ridge anymore, I still go out of my way to see her. (even though most of my appointments are via phone these days.). Obviously not all doctors are right for everyone, but I definitely recommend giving Dr. Van Dusen a try if you’re looking."

"Dr. Laura is very kind and understanding. She listens to what I have to say about how I am feeling without judgment and works with me and my body to find the right medications for me. She doesn't just give me something without discussing the medication with me and allows me time to do my own research. She tried to stay away from addictive medications and only prescribes them as a last resort. I really appreciate the time and care she takes with me!"
