"Drs. Kerstan and Evans have a great manner. It's not like being told to go into the examination room and sit there for 30 minutes. I've never had a long wait, either for examinations or blood/urine work."
"Miserable!! NEGATIVE STARS IF IT WERE ALLOWED. They called two patients that arrived after us for blood draw which took a ridiculous 30 minutes each. Finally we get called, the Phlebotomist, CHERISE, stuck my son (who has huge veins) with a straight needle, missing his vein, and then dug around carelessly and roughly just to say she needs to try it again. When taking out the needle, he was bleeding profusely and in pain. She tells him to hold gauze on it and the begins to tie the tourniquet again on the same arm. Any professional Phlebotomist knows that you do not stuck the same arm, especially right after missing it. I insisted she draw from his other arm, so she haphazardly wrapped a stretchy bandage over her miss without any gauze, and then drew his other arm. Needless to say, my boy was in a lot of pain after that and his blood was dripping down his arm by the time we got in the car. This is the second incident with their lab, the first was similar with my daughter last year. Unfortunately he does like Dr. Kersten so I will keep taking him there but any blood work will be through NorthShore from now on. CHERISE has no right being a Phlebotomist. At all."
"This facility includes Urgent Care facilities as well as imaging, phlebotomy, and non-urgent care physicians. The check-in process is fast and organized, facilities are clean and modern, and the administrative and medical team members are helpful and welcoming. I have seen three different physicians here--Peterson, Pankau, and Philbrick--and each was very knowledgeable and caring, taking time to address all of my concerns and offer proactive recommendations. Despite spending plenty of time with me, each visit had a waiting time of less than 5 minutes. Although I have not used, I know that Urgent Care services can be booked/checked in online and provides real time estimates for wait times for walk-ins. Highly recommended!"
"HORRIBLE>>>> Do not go here to be treated!!! I was "dismissed" from the facility because I had to miss an appointment because of an emergency with my daughter. I was told that it was their "policy" that if you missed an appointment you are not allowed to come back again - not even with a different doctor and not even for the Urgent Care! The "manager" was so rude to me. I was apologizing for missing the appointment and just kept being told that they cant help me, I had been "dismissed" I have a great PPO plan. This makes no sense. They will be reported."
"I went to Presence for a follow-up MRI 6 months after a ruptured aneurysm. I showed up for my appointment only to be told they could not perform the MRI because I didn't know what type of "coil" I had, as some may not be compatible with their machine. I contacted my surgeon's office and was told ALL MRI's are compatible with all inter cranial devices. With this information, I rescheduled my appt. at Presence. When the MRI was over, I mentioned to the operator that my order requests with and without contrast. He stated that because of the high resolution of this MRI, with contrast is never done. End of discussion. My surgeon (from Lutheran General) is requesting the contrast part of the MRI be performed, as it IS necessary. I will be going to Lutheran General to have this done, where I should have gone in the first place. Hopefully, my insurance will pay for another one. My advice, stay away from their imaging dept.!!!"
