"Dr. Nathan put on gloves then proceeded to type on her laptop and then check her cellphone! Yes. She touched her dirty cellphone! Then preformed a pelvic exam. I was stupidly too shocked and embarrassed to tell her to change her dirty gloves first. A thing I will continue to regret and be disappointed in myself for forever. I returned a week later with a horrible infection. She acted incredibly annoyed and inconvenienced by the fact that I asked to be seen again (I did NOT request her she just happened to be there that day). The nerve. I wish I had just told her that she most definitely CAUSED the infection that she was too busy to treat. She was so mean and condescending. When I asked her what she would be prescribing she refused to tell me and said to just take it (as if I WANTED this infection and gave myself this infection). Of course I was going to take it but why is it necessary to treat patients like they’re delinquents? I asked if the medication would clear the infection before my due date she said “well, I could give you something that would clear it faster but this will be fine”. Now, idk what her reason for selecting this medication was since she didn’t say. Perhaps there was a legitimate reason. However, her response and demeanor made me feel like she just wanted me to suffer for longer. She also happened to be the doctor on call the morning after my delivery. When she came in during rounds she said (not in a playful way but in a bizarre resentful way) “look at that. You made it. You survived the infection and the induction that you were so afraid of. Wasn’t so bad, huh?” (She was pressuring me into being induced before my due date, something I did not feel comfortable with as a vbac patient. Induction increases the risk of uterine rupture by 20%-something I mentioned and she confirmed yet brushed off as if I was just being a hypochondriac. My concerns were legitimate whether she cared about my well-being and that of my baby, or not). I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to a doctor that treats patients this way."
