"I have a Generac whole house generator purchased and installed by Wired in November 2023. The two technicians that came out did a wonderful job…. They were very professional particularly Nick the lead tech. He did a great job keeping me informed of their progress and in the end spent some time giving me a demo and answering all of my questions Fast forward to today 2/21/24 had a few questions and a small concern I called the office and the support lady was great and had a tech at my house in less than a couple hours. In my opinion that is what I consider a Best in Class company! Oh…. And It was Nick again as impressive as ever and I just wanted to share with my neighbors my great experience"
"Purchased a Generac generator and installation services in June 2023. Generator was supposed to be installed in September 2023. They didn't call 811 or ensure that their sub called 811 before digging the gas line trench. They flooded my yard with water when I was out of town and left a hose running all weekend. They used noncompliant wiring (aluminum not copper) at first. The generator, not functioning or hooked up, sat on a poorly built platform in our backyard from September 2023 through January 2024. They finally installed the generator in mid January 2024. They came to the job site unprepared and without a record or knowledge of issues to correct from the last failed inspection. They did install the correct wiring but left the job despite smelling gas and failed to warn us of the condition. The city failed them on the inspection. There is a gas leak, confirmed by them two days after installation. The regulator at the generator needs to be replaced. Poor communication throughout the process. If you save up hard-earned money for the security and peace of mind of a whole house generator, you may want to use a different company. The process from start to almost finished has been frustrating, demanding our time and attention to point out issues, demand corrections, and point out potentially dangerous conditions. The process leaves us with a lack of confidence in their core abilities and customer care. Fingers crossed the generator works in an emergency situation. Edited to add: I received an email asking me to pay the balance but there were two issues: 1) the job hadn't passed final inspection by the city and 2) Wired failed to reduce the price to reflect the shorter stand that deviated from the original scope of work. They fixed the invoice after I pointed out the issue. The city came for a final inspection and failed Wired because the generator doesn't support the load it's supposed to carry in a power outage. This is a big deal. Caveat emptor."
"Drew provides OUTSTANDING customer service. He is very knowledgeable and is able to explain what is happening and what they propose fix should be. This stage one customerservice is something most businesses have completely forgotten, Drew goes beyond the call. We will not use any other Electrician either one of our properties going forward other than Drew!!"
"I have a Generac whole house generator purchased and installed by Wired. Long story short, on Dec 11 a Wired technician came out and replaced the transfer switch in my generator. It was warranty work. The only reason the guy replaced it is I had an electrician from another company ( Delta ) look at it first so I knew what was wrong then called Wired because it’s under warranty. It still cost me $400 to replace all the cards in my washing machine and I have whole house surge protection Today power went out and generator came on but six breakers tripped and I had no power anywhere in the house even though the generator is running. The chick that answers the phone is rude, uncaring, and useless. She is more concerned with giggling and telling me I have to pay a two hour minimum trip charge than with showing any empathy for my total lack of power in cold weather in Texas and getting someone out here to fix it. I asked to speak to a manager and after a 7 minute hold was told Tommy Mitchell would call when he is available. On Sept 1 I paid $280.87 to Wired for routine maintenance of my new under warranty generator. I pay and pay and pay Wired to be treated rudely when I call and have a whole house generator that does not provide power to any part of my house. DO NOT make the same mistake I did and use Wired Electric. I trusted them and even recommended them at first. I am 63 years old and live alone and I depended on Wired to see that I had power and that I received the services I was paying for. I’d give no stars if I could. Pictures of the transfer switch are attached I don’t think there is much I can do now but find another electrical company to come clean up the mess and get my generator working UPDATE: Wired called me on Tuesday and came out at 8am Wed to fix my generator. They learned that when the transfer switch was replaced the breaker was turned off inside the generator and never turned back on I was given the phone number of the owner so in the future if I have any issues I can escalate past the people that answer the phones. Wired made it right"
"Update on 1/11 - The owner reached out to me in regards to the issues we experienced with a potential resolution. He was understanding and wanted to make things right. As of right now I'm leaving one star to see if they resolve our issue. The technician came out for a low oil pressure warning and replaced a faulty switch. Thereafter, I go and check on the generator because I did not hear anything begin on the Sunday 12 pm scheduled cycle when I was at home that weekend. The same oil pressure warning was on and I made another appointment. Same technician comes out and says it's the motherboard that needs to be replaced. I say ok again to the tune of $1150 between both repairs. That same week on Sunday the generator kicks on for approximately 5 seconds and shuts down with the same oil message. Technician comes out for the 3rd time and now says we need a whole new generator....great! As you can imagine I'm jumping for joy at that point.... Tech and parts manager (whom I had to track down after the fact) both say we'll refund the invoices to whole. I make 4 phone calls with promises of a call back to no avail. Come to find out the accounts person was out of the office for at least a week who handles cutting checks. Apparently nobody at the front desk knew she was out or didn't care because they couldn't relay that message on to a customer. With that said, refund check arrives today and it's for only the 2 parts. They didn't make good on their promise for both invoices and shorted me about $475. My wife and I are in the market for a new generator and I'm not sure what to think of this company. One off? Way business is normally ran? Communication issues within? We'll see if they step up and refund the balance we were told would happen. More to come."
