"Opened and reopened a lot of wounds with no strategy to heal. Cannot recommend to anyone experiencing control issues or trauma. The sessions did not have direction and many of her comments were critical or judgmental - examples: she told me often I was difficult to work with. Told me I was closed and needed to be more open and didn't explain how. We did have a good first session with some homework and guide documents but come to find out those were the only tools she relied on after starting treatment. Many of the sessions (had at least 5) also included recaps of her personal experience with almost no reflection on how this related to me - example: I used to be closed like you and my boyfriend told me about a waitress that had a bad attitude and he told Kris she used to be like that. When we talked about a past trauma of mine, she said I was not over it and then we never talked about it again. I was asked to write down my worried thoughts for weeks. She did not review them and so it became another tool to continue to be hyper aware of all the things that bother me. It is hard to find someone to work with. I have learned the lesson to not continue with anyone if at any point you do not feel comfortable."
