"Dont Walk, Run Away from this company. TLDR; After 2 months of having Armstrong bilk us for thousands of dollars in multiple service calls, we now have a grill that is even more broken than the 1st time we called them. At this point it is beginning to seem to be an intentional business practice, to charge customers as much as possible. 2 months ago, I had a problem with my Vulcan flat top grill. Causing us to lose 3 of the 5 burners on the cooking surface we have in our very busy restaurant. Call #1, I called Armstrong who sent out a technician several days later. After several hours the technician fixed the problem and left. 30 minutes later the grill was down again. Call#2, It took several days for the technician to come back out to fix the initial problem. After several hours the technician fixed the problem and left. an hour later the grill was down again. Call #3, Again it took Armstrong several days to send a technician out to address our initial concern. at this point I had been without a grill for about 2 weeks. After voicing my frustration, Armstrong sent a different tech than the one from the previous visits. After a few hours he was able to track down the problem to a bad safety valve. Of course, the part would have to be ordered. As a precaution we also asked to replace a 2nd safety valve as preventative maintenance. I waited for the part about 3 weeks, calling Armstrong on a regular basis to get updates. Finally after tiring of my calls they informed me that they had a part in stock that could be fitted and would only be a little bit more expensive than the original part. Again it took Armstrong several days to send a technician to replace the parts. After replacing the parts the technician informed us that the 3rd and final safety valve was now bad and would have to be replaced. Yesterday, after another week of waiting, the technician finally showed up with the last part. he installed made sure the grill turned on and then left. 20 minutes later the entire grill was down. I called Armstrong several times after he left and was just transferred to voicemail. I was able to reach them today and was again told 3-4 days before a technician could be scheduled. After 2 months of having Armstrong bilk us for thousands of dollars in multiple service calls, we now have a grill that is even more broken than the 1st time we called them. "9/29/20 had an oven “serviced”. Cleaned a part and deemed the issue resolved. Two weeks (10/14/20) later, same issue came up. Technician was dispatched and cleaned a part and charged for trip and for the same work the previous Technican had done. Wouldn’t recommend."
"Called 2 other local repair places to work on my fryers. One came 3 times and the other twice, neither were able to fix my fryers. Called frymaster direct and they recommended armstrong. The tech came out and immediately said " i know what this is" fixed it in less about 1.5 hours and only $213.25 later i am ready for the weekend. Don't waste time with anyone else. I won't name the other companies but they are big players in the restaurant equipment repair game. Thank you ARC!"
"They are an absolute rip off!!! My manager struggled with these people for weeks over getting the dish machine fixed and for some reason management is never available to talk on the phone when you have a grievance. The only reason I’m even giving it one star is because zero is not an option. Go elsewhere and save yourself a headache and money."
