"terrible experience with this doctor. she was consistently 3+ hours late to our appointments, barely talked to me during them, would tell me she was going to give me a new medication to help with something but never sent it in or followed up, (and i have adhd so i completely forgot about it until it was too late) and her office is just so unprofessional. i asked for a form to be filled out for me and was told i needed to fill it out first and then the doctor would 'add the medical stuff and sign it'. are you kidding? on top of that, she is now no longer accepting any insurance, which feels like a money grab. no, i will not be paying $125+ for an appointment that you're hours and hours late for, barely talk to me during, and dont send over the medications you said you will. please reconsider before choosing this psychiatrist. (which shouldn't be hard because who in the right mind is going to pay $200 for a 10 minute phone call.)"
"I wanted to leave a review about my experience with Dr. Rasheed so others may consider it before committing to a psychiatrist. I first met Dr. Rasheed right out of undergrad when I had been struggling with PTSD for about 2-3 years. I was working with a therapist and my family practitioner for medication management, but it was recommended that I seek further support from a specialist. Unfortunately, I felt that I could place immediate trust in her knowledge and expertise as a physician. On our initial call when she spoke of being able to “live my best life” with her assistance, it brought me hope, finally being able to have relief and increased functionality in my life. I felt that I was given a cookie cutter plan and was not truly listened to with my concerns. My therapist actually wrote a letter to her before my first appointment to tell her more about my background, chief complaints, and her observations during sessions to be sure she had ample information. Medical Treatment: One of my complaints were constant nightmares (mostly trauma based), I was prescribed some medication that was supposed to help with my nightmares and quality of sleep. My nightmares ended up getting worse. When I brought it up to Dr. Rasheed, I was informed that a side effect of the medication was that it could make your nightmares worsen and even become more vivid – I was not told of this ahead of time and it came across to me as imprudent and reckless. When I first entered her care, I informed Dr. Rasheed of my previous medications and the ones I was still actively taking. She informed me that she wanted to taper me off one of them, without ever creating an action plan to do so. I ended up running out of that medication and going through withdrawals from not doing a gradual decrease of dosage; withdrawals for me included brain zaps. I feel like those who are at a point to seek out support from a psychiatrist are an especially vulnerable yet trusting population; it’s a shame that there are physicians who take advantage of that or are careless with their treatment. I wish I had more confidence to have advocated for myself and questioned her with more skepticism. Billing: Regarding billing, I never had to pay anything for my appointments even though I would always ask; I felt like it was odd, but I was constantly told “we’re in contact with your insurance” over and over again to ensure these treatments were covered. This was not the case. Once I finally decided to leave the care of Dr. Rasheed, I had found over $15,000 worth of claims to my medical insurance portal online. In addition to that, when I requested my medical charts so I could bring it to a new physician, I found there were parts of information documented incorrectly, including parts of patient history, and identifying information. This is not an exhaustive recounting of all the experiences from my time there, but I felt compelled to share some of my story as someone who wants others to have an opportunity to consider this and weigh it when selecting a physician to manage your care. Overall, she may work well with other people; I am not sure and cannot speak to that. Again, I wanted to share my personal experience from my perspective as a patient under Dr. Rasheed's care."
"Dr. Rasheed has my complete trust. Her guidance and expertise paired with joy and genuine care make her an amazing doctor. She was a family referral and I would highly recommend her services if you find yourself in need. Thank you Dr. Rasheed!! ❤️"
"I admit to having read some negative reviews on here and still trying to give it a shot. So if you make the same mistake as me, you also would only have yourself to blame. The first red flag is that this psychiatrist is not professional. Her assistant collected payment from me a day or two before the appointment and mentioned Dr. Rasheed would call on the day of the appointment at a certain time. She mentioned she might be running a bit behind, so I wasn’t too worried when I hadn’t heard from her or her assistant 15 minutes into the appointment time. An hour went by, silence. About the 2 hour mark, I randomly receive a call from her on my way to another appointment. I told Dr. Rasheed I couldn’t meet then, so she asked me to reschedule for the next day. The following day, she was late, again, but 15 minutes isn’t as bad as 2 hours. I didn’t receive an explanation about the previous day, but I decided to let it go. During our appointment, she asked a couple questions which I know I’d answered already via the forms I filled out or my medical records from previous doctors. Dr. Rasheed continuously cut me off while I was trying to speak or explain things. She made a few snarky comments, which I decided to ignore. Eventually, she said she’d put in a prescription for a new medication and have me begin to taper off the one I was on. She warned that the withdrawals would be bad so she’d like us to meet weekly. She mentioned her assistant would reach out. It’s been several weeks. She never reached out. She never filled the prescription. She never replied my message when I reached out. This psychiatrist is disorganized and unhelpful. That’s the summary."
"My daughter and I both see Dr. Rasheed. She makes my daughter (11) and I feel very comfortable in moments of our very vulnerable states when we go in and open up. It has been a rough road with daughter and Dr. Rasheed has been there every step of the way. She treats us like family which is hard to find in physicians these day. I 100% would recommend Dr. Rasheed. Her front staff Amber is also, very busy but, seems to always get stuff done and very personable. My family thanks you both!"
