Westbrook Apartments 2021 South Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60162

"We have been renting a condo here for 10 yrs. The owners of the apt. are very kind & usually respond quickly to our inquiries & or needs. They get 5 stars even though our rent was raised enormously this year, “for us.” Although they kept their promise to us & didn’t raise the rent, as originally agreed for the first 9 yrs. we lived here. The mgt co has changed. Originally the mgt office was open 5 days a week during working hrs. with a helpful & friendly staff who stayed on top of most issues that came up. Now their successor is only available part time- a couple of hrs./3x a week. The new staff is very nice. We have not required anything so I can’t comment on their response time. Our custodian, Angel left about a yr ago. No info was provided about his departure or replacement. He was excellent. I think everyone’s experience is diff specially if they are renting a condo. instead of an apt. We like it here but we are not sure if we will be able to continue to reside here if the rent goes up again. Our neighbors are friendly, respectful, & kind. Plus,everyone greets our 2 dogs so sweetly. The location is excellent. It’s very close to expressways, & walkable to a couple of restaurants & Walgreens. My husband enjoys living across the street from the golf course-cause he’s a-golfer. The pool to date is maintained well. The exercise room needs to be updated & some of the equipment needs to be replaced. The pkg outside is free but has tight spaces & often it’s difficult to find an open pkg space plus car doors have been nIcked & fenders quite often. A neighbor commented recently that people who do not live in the complex are using them & the pool. Even though the original mgt was updating the parking lots its still difficult to walk to your car because it gets full of huge puddles (more like ponds) when it rains or the snow melts. Regardless, we hope as a retired couple we can afford to continue to live here. All in all it’s a good place/community."

"I've lived here for 2 years. MaryAnn the property manager has done a great job on being transparent and helping me with any and all questions I've had. The apartments to price ratio are fair. Is it a skyscraper luxury apartment downtown in the West Loop? No. Is it conveniently by major highways in a quiet area with an attentive property manager? Yes. Great location to go explore the burbs or the city."

"I been living here for about two years. I definitely live this place. The apartments are really nice and spacious. The place is close to the highways and on a day with no traffic it can take 20 minutes to reach downtown. The manager is awesome! she is always really attentive and response to your questions really quick. There are several stores around the area and the Metra is like 10 minutes away. I will definitely recommend everyone this place."

"Condos are not soundproof, advertised amenities are old & outdated like the free WiFi is slow and kicks you off, the exercise room has such a low ceiling they had to remove over head tiles above the treadmill leaving exposed pipes, but allowing head room, I went to use the sauna it never turned on. Outside surface parking is horrible, the lot is uneven, spots are way too close together, faded parking lines, missing parking blocks but they employ "security" who will sticker your vehicle if you are over the "lines". I had an enormous neon sticker obstructing my view that I walked out to find on my car leaving for work. Building security for something ridiculous like that but yet I had to report to the property manager one of many doors to the building wasn't latching shut. Hallways and elevators are narrow and depressingly dark."
