Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O'Hare Airport

"This was the single worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was great (friendly reception), shuttle to airport helpful, and parking was a good rate (booked a park and ride stay). However, the rooms were absolutely disgusting. The 5th floor looked like a hellscape, with ancient, filthy carpets throughout. The room had battered furniture, a stained bathtub, and no hot water the first night. I couldn't take my socks off because walking barefoot on the carpet was disgusting. We asked about hot water and reception said they'd "let maintenance know" - not helpful when you want a hot shower after a long travel day. The vending machines didn't work. I would never stay here again."

"Close to O'Hare. Very low in amenities: no fridge in room, no microwave in room, pool but no hot tub. Hallways and elevator were very cold and drafty. Room was was quite chilly and lost heat by front wall even though thermostat set to 74 degrees. Blanket very thin and extremely lumpy. Parking is $15 a day, which was not made clear on third party reservation site. Shabby looking interior with peeling wallpaper and rough finished plaster. Air traffic was audible. Underwhelming experience overall."

"Booked for an overnight layover at O'Hare. Had certain expectations for a Marriott/Sheraton property, few of which were met. Arrived to find restaurant was closed on Mondays though none of the 5 staff at the reception counter knew if/when it was actually open. No acknowledgement of hotel status level (am a frequent user of Marriott properties). Room was cold with noticeable draft coming from the air conditioner/heater wall area. Bath towels thin and small. Tub drainage very slow. Overall decor dated and in need of modernization. Good for an overnight stay at a reasonable price but I expected more from this brand."

"Amazing staff, but this place is really, really old and not well maintained at all. If it wasnt the size, I'd have described this as a motel. The room did not even have a microwave or fridge, the shower is very small and old and if you're over 5'9 you'll have to bend down to shower. Very small bathroom, carpets were old and very dirty, as well as the common areas (hallways and elevators). Breakfast was supposed to be included in the stay but was not.. Restaurant was not very appetizing either but the service was great. They also have a shuttle to the airport which is great. Parking is $15/night which I found quite much but it's Chicago so just be prepared for it. Impressed that this is a Marriott hotel, the quality is not as expected at all for a Four Points."

"We travel often and are Marriott Bonvoy Elite members. Overall, I give this hotel 5 stars because customer service exceeded my expectations all around. Circumstances led to us having interactions with shuttle drivers, several front desk staff, cleaning staff, and the hotel manager (Jennifer). This hotel is close to the airport, and they offer a complimentary shuttle service. They also offer the option of parking your vehicle if you are flying out and need a place to park it for a period of time (at a reasonable price). We had a stressful experience at the airport -- and ended up staying at this hotel for 2 nights. The entire staff were very kind and accommodating, and our positive experience at this hotel helped us to relax and get back on track. We were able to easily get some business-related work done during our stay as well. The hotel does need some updating, but it was clean during our stay, and the service and value were excellent. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel which provided a breakfast experience that I would rate as okay/fair (I reviewed this business separately). We would definitely stay at this hotel again."
