Comfort Inn Gurnee near Six Flags

"Really unprofessional staff. After driving 10 hours to get to Illinois, they lied and said our suite wasn't ready yet. Turns out they'd double booked it, so we got stuffed into a smaller room. Went down first thing in the morning when they said our suite would be available. They said it wouldn't be ready till 10. Went down at 10, STILL not ready. No calls, no apologies, no comps. So sitting around waiting for them so we can move our stuff and get on with our day. Instant coffee in the breakfast room. Weve stayed at several comfort inns. Worst one ever. Will not return. Don't waste your money."

"This hotel is dirty and smells bad. People are walking around barefoot and in their pajamas, towels stuffed under the doors down the hall, and there was hair and other dirt on the dust ruffle under the head end of the mattress. The windows have broken seals and in general the lack of cleanliness we didn’t feel comfortable staying and left. Even worse, they refused to credit us back 4 of our 5 night reservation. There is no way this hotel should have 4 stars! Don’t stay here if you can all avoid it."

"If you are planning a trip to this hotel, don't waste your money. The girl at the front desk had no idea what she was doing, then she charged us an extra 50 bucks. Me and my family went to choice hotels from Wisconsin all the the way to Florida and never once did they charge us for 3 kids. When I says on the hotel website that children are free"

"The lobby strongly smelled of propane when we entered. The smell of gas was very prominent all the way to our room in the middle of the second floor. We turned on the heater in our room, not only was it not blowing hot air, it REAKED. Our whole room smelled like burnt hair and fabric. Only room they had available so we were unable to switch, we had to open the window and deal with the smell all night. Vending machine was broken, broken door in the entry way, cleaning supplies left out on the sidewalk right around the corner that more than a few people tripped on. I understand that this is probably not 1 persons fault and that things happen. But to not be allowed a refund when there's a bunch of problems? I'm not in a position to drop $160 and be able to walk away to find somewhere better for the night."

"Had a great stay with my family! Rooms were neat, beds comfortable, breakfast was great, jacuzzi and pool relaxing, very friendly service, and I overall had a great experience along with my family! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for one to stay in for a few nights."
