"As a physician myself, I can’t say enough about Dr. Mackey after she took care of my mom… My mom had a very aggressive microinvasive ductal breast cancer which was not detected prior to surgery. My mom’s previous breast doctor had been lackadaisical at best following her diagnosis of DCIS, and had allowed for 3 months to go by without intervention. So we brought Dr. Mackey on board to salvage the situation, and boy did she! We reached out to Dr. Mackey’s office who went above and beyond to schedule an appointment immediately. Dr. Mackey has a very kind and compassionate bedside manner and took her time to break down and explain the recommendations so my mom(who doesn’t come from a medical background could fully understand). She scheduled my mom’s surgery very quickly, and went above and beyond to make sure the cancer had been removed. My mom subsequently followed up with MD Anderson, who confirmed Dr. Mackey had done everything by the textbook and had likely removed all the cancer. Even though Dr. Mackey is kind and compassionate, she shoots you straight without sugarcoating/she tells you what you need to know. Overall I can’t say enough about Dr. Mackey. She’s a an excellent physician, surgeon, and just a kind hearted down to earth human being. If you love your mom who’s been diagnosed with breast cancer then the best thing you can do for her is send her to Dr. Mackey."
