"His office isn't on Clayton anymore, it's on North MoPac, now. Steve changed my son's life. He was an anxious and easily overstimulated six year old, to the point where his kindergarten teachers considered a successful day when they could keep him in the classroom for an hour at a time. His trauma occured because his bio-mom did drugs while pregnant. Now, four years later, most of that is gone. My son has worked through much of the anxiety, and when he does get overwhelmed, he usually can figure out, by himself, a good way to handle it. My son was not an easy client. Steve dealt with innumerable physical tantrums, but he never flinched, never lost his temper. He carefully made sure that I understood what was going on in my boy's head, why particular behaviors occured, and how we might avoid or work through them in the future. And all this without pharmaceuticals. I'm not opposed to them, neither is Steve, but if you can make it work without them, you probably should. Some things - Steve doesn't advertise because he's always fully booked. If you are lucky enough to get a recurring slot, it will likely be during school hours, and if you refuse, he may not get another opening for months. He does all kinds of therapy beyond talk and play, He did only bodywork on my kid for the first 18 months, but it worked."
