"Dr. Turner and his staff were very professional and I had a wonderful experience. I had intended on going to the lasik institute but scheduled a consultation on a whim and ended up scheduling surgery with Dr. Turner for the next day. They didn’t try to “sell me” just made sure I had the knowledge needed in order to make an informed decision on what was best for me. After the consultation I knew that I didn’t need to go anywhere else. I was worried about pricing here in the Permian Basin but it was comparable to any other laser surgery center I’ve talked to. It has now been less that 24 hours since surgery and I can see better than I did with contacts in. Hands down easiest decision I’ve ever made. You will be in good hands with Dr. Turner."

"I went to DR. Turner in March to see if I was a candidate for Lasik. Come to find out I had cataracts in both eyes at an age of 55 years. When it came time to measure for lens strengths and lens options, we couldn't get the right eye to measure close to the same twice to determine the proper strength. Dr. Turner went beyond the call to check with colleagues in Odessa and at Baylor about the problem we were having with my eye. He wouldn't just go ahead and put the lens in, or put a lens in that I picked but may have not been right for me. I was wanting the multi focal lens so I might forego glasses all together. After having me retested by other doctors to confirm his results, he told me I wasn't a good candidate for multi focal lenses and suggested I use the toric lens implant. I had the problem eye done last and have a little astigmatism that is residual, but he is still working with me to get it at its best possible vision. I've worn glasses since I was 9 years old, and now am at 20/15 in my left eye, and 20/40 in my right. Am going back this week to tweak the right eye a bit and do a little lasering to reduce the astigmatism. Overall, I am beyond pleased with Dr. Turner, his staff, and his dedication to getting his patients the best possible result. Will use no one but Dr. Turner."

"Very bad experience!!! During cataract surgery in September of 2017, too strong a lens was put in my right eye. I told the doctor I could not see well but he ignored me and said my vision was fine. I went to my optometrist who said the lens was too strong and my eyes could not work together. She said sometimes the lens can be replaced with the correct one. Went back to Dr. Turner who confirmed the lens was too strong and even glasses could not get me to 20-20 vision. He said that nothing could be done as my eye was too scarred and I could go to Lubbock, Dallas or Amarillo for a second opinion and they would tell me the same thing. Well, I did go to Lubbock to Dr. Khater, and his first words were "you poor thing, what have they done to you". Not only was the lens too strong but it was off center. On July 10, 2018 he successfully removed the lens that Dr. Turner had put in and replaced it with a correct strength. I can see just fine now but it took at least two thousand dollars to make the correction. I will never recommend Dr. Tom Turner to anyone and will share this experience with everyone I know."
