"Huge selection of all your recreational needs. Great pricing on firearms. A lot of the store’s inventory could come down on price a little but if you got money or want the bougie sporty look then this place is for you. If you are getting a firearm then they won’t let you leave the store until your background check is done which is kinda weird. Very clean store they could use a couple of TVs with sports,fishing, kayaking,camping tips or ads of there products I mean if they really wanted to boost sales. Lots of registers with lots of cashiers/ helpful salespeople. All in all a very good store"
"Such a GREAT store! Had some time to kill, so I told myself, “SELF” after we get out of Senior Citizens BINGO, we’ll Dip off in there and grab a box or two of those Hornady Critical Defense shells for a 9mm! That’s the ONLY ammo I trust. I honestly believe they’ve helped me and my “THROWING GAME” 100%! Critical Defense are easier to throw and their accuracy is on point! Academy has been the only place I’ve found them at!! Academy has always been my first choice!!"
"I went Black Friday shopping here and the line was wrapped around the store. I thought it was going to be a long wait, but the line moved incredibly fast. The deals are great, holiday season or not. The staff was extremely kind despite it being the most stressful shopping day of the year."
"Always very interested, informed, and helpful staff. Their firearms department is spectacular. Their firearm choices are limited, but they constantly cycle new models into stock, and they always have the classics. Even when ammo has been short, the staff are extremely helpful in coordinating which times you should arrive to find adequate stock. This store is just all around a well run facility that harbors an environment that makes anyone feel welcomed!"
