MP Nails Spa

"I really wanted to love this place since it is so close to my house, but it is a real hit or miss. It's a very nice looking, large salon with comfy new chairs and big screen tv's. But it really smells toxic (horrible chemicals) - I'm not sure they have proper ventilation They do have a few very talented techs (like Selena and Terry) who do really great work, but otherwise it is a crapshot. They have some very inexperienced young men working there and it seems unfair to get charged full price for a 'training' manicure. You should be able to walk into a nail salon and be able to always get a competent tech vs 'hoping' you'll get one of the good ones. I had some actually bad experiences there. I got an ingrown toenail from a bad pedicure, and once a dip manicure came out black instead of red ('suppliers fault - we will tell them'!) I didn't have time to get it re-done and they didn't give me a discount, but said they would on my next visit - they didn't write it down so I never go the discount. Also, quite a few of the techs try to soak your hands in a bowl of acetone to remove no chip nail polish (I'm sure that can't be healthy) and are annoyed if you ask instead to have each nail treated separately. So as much as I want to love it, I think I'm going to go back to my old nail salon that isn't as convenient."

"I had a pedi and requested gel X nails, which are supposed to last 3 weeks. If done properly a little longer. Had my nails done before Valentine’s Day (Feb 13,2024) and my nails starting falling off by Thursday Feb 15,2024. I paid a ridiculous amount for them to fall off in less than a week. I work in an office so I’m typing all day. No reason why my nails should be popping off in less than a week."

"got an acrylic overlay. He put gel over it when i did not ask for that and it was very expensive. broke my nails past the quick while taking my old nails off and it was incredibly painful, and they chipped two days later. I told him I don’t want a sheer pink, and that’s exactly what he put on. Nail files were used and dirty. Horrible work, my friend had gel polish all over her fingers but missing paint on her nails. They rush you through the whole thing and do a really sloppy job. He also cut me. Avoid avoid avoid!!!"

"They are simply amazing! I’ve been coming since the first week they opened (5 months) and I first got a dipping powder and now I get hard gel nails every three (sometimes even 4) weeks with May. She is amazing and I have always been happy with my nails! They have a ton of colors to pick from and the space is super clean and modern! Thanks guys!"
