"Disappointed we had a bad visit because it seemed like a nice hotel. We reserved a king bed room a week ago. Got to the hotel to check in and the lady said they over booked so we were getting a free upgrade. Went to “our” free upgrade to walking in on a couple already in there. Went back to front desk to explain the situation. The lady called for the assistant manager. The a. manager said they only had a two full size bed room. Due to having to be somewhere shortly and not having time to go some where else I had to accept that room. We were told this would be at a discounted rate due to the inconvenience. Due to the experience thus far I think it would be fair if we weren’t getting charged. Since my wife and I were going to have to sleep in separate beds, and we had to embarrassingly walk into another room with another couple already there. The next day we had to get up and leave early. Come to find out when checking out online the room had not been discounted and the the price was only $20 cheaper then what our king room would’ve been! Unless this is made right definitely will not be returning."

"Loved the place! It’s my second time in this hotel after 3 years, and it’s beautiful! I love every detail of this place and it’s so cozy to be there. Especially if it’s Christmas time! ❄️ Very clean and breakfast is really good comparing to other places that I stayed in ! And it’s very romantic!!"

"Cozy hotel. Great price and value. Very nice front desk staff. Room was super clean and no smells whatsoever. Other than our loud neighbors we could hear through the adjoining room door, the walls were thick and room quiet at night. The hot tub and pool were nicely maintained and clean. No one was ever in there so the kids enjoyed a private pool. The morning breakfast was well maintained, although I wish there were waffles or pancakes. The other guests were polite and respectful at breakfast and there was an overflow room near the front desk and bar area if there weren't enough tables in the breakfast room. Wish they had put the fireplace on ....would have been nice! Coffee was available at the front desk all day/night and really good. Breakfast area had OJ and apple juice. If we come back to Galena, we'll be staying here. It was really quick to get to downtown Galena - a 6 minute drive at most! Having a Piggly Wiggly grocery store across the way in the parking lot was convenient for little snacks. The room had a nice size mini fridge for snacks/drinks."

"Great hotel for the money. It was clean and employees were friendly. Our room (#65) was golf themed and had a small gas fireplace in the living room and a whirlpool tub in the bedroom. The living room has a pull out sofa that was convenient for our family. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice as well and the area was clean. The included breakfast in the morning was decent - your usual eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, muffin, etc variety. They did have a pancake maker which was a bonus for my 5 year old! The hotel does not have an elevator which was ok with us, but could be an issue for others. The hotel is a quick drive to downtown Galena with a lot of neat shops, great restaurants and beautiful sightseeing! We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again!"
