"Gateway is a very giving and supportive school with a caring and safe environment and feel. The staff all care about the best path for the student. It is highly inclusive. Work is specific to the student and there is no severe pressure in juxtaposition to the public system. They do what’s ever they can to support their students wether that being mental health support or more support in what ever area needed. I enjoyed my 6 years there. It felt like home. The principle there does not give up on her students and gets them the help they require no matter the situation. All in all it’s a great school and great for supporting any difference a student might have."

"My daughter (who has learning differences) had a very good experience at Gateway Academy. She received so much support and encouragement that she thrived there. I’ve never seen staff so devoted to their students. The teachers love their jobs and the administration clearly respect their instructors and trust their expertise. Throughout my daughter’s time there, the school continually adapted to the needs of the individual student, innovating their educational approach. The senior year for the students is particularly exceptional. Each student is assigned a mentor to help that student prepare for what they are going to do after graduation. College? The mentor helps them choose schools, apply, and edit their essays. Technical school or apprenticeship? The mentor helps the student search out the right fit and apply. A job? The mentor helps the student find options, apply, and prep for interviews. Even after graduation, our daughter’s mentor helped our girl from afar as she settled into her first year of college. So, yes, I recommend this school for any student that could benefit from such individualized attention."
