"U get in trouble for anything fights here every day and I know BC I go here .Do not put ur kids in here and if ur kids have been bullied I'm pretty sure that are going to get bullied here to just how I'm getting bullied. there's drugs ,no respect, teachers say bad words to kids ,weapons on campus, crack heads ,strangers ,and all types of things and the school is so clusters up . so if u put ur kids in here its ur risk"

"I can't give it a lower rating but FMS was not a good experience. A teacher got arrested for bringing a gun. Some teachers just liked to talk and not teach. Mr. Samuels was not a good role model. Ms. Lewis was the worst. This is supposed to be a free country and she treated us like if we were prisoners and we barely were able to have any fun activities. Out of all the 3 years there, there was only 1 field trip that I had. I would've chosen a school with more discipline and freedom.I recommend you send your kids to Alief ISD because everything is much better. There were at least 2 or more fights per month and the teachers didn't do much about it. Nicholas Lopez, one of the Aps of the school. Worst guy ever I think Hitler gives a much better role than him. He didn' t show respect for any student and thought he was the boss of everyone and he was hated by EVERY student there. No one liked him and not even the students that show the best example liked him.Mr. Whitaker was a good 7th grade AP. He did many good things for the 7th graders specially me. he was respected and everyone liked him better than Mr. Lopez. I wish best of luck for the students having to be there and hopefully you parents will make the right decision. Ms. Perry was a good teacher as well as MS. Cherry. I owe many thanks to them and wish them the best in life."

"To Whom It May Concern, My visit to Fondren Middle School was a very pleasant experience. I've visited the school on 2 separate occasions . I had the opportunity to observe the teachers and their interaction with the students. The staff is very capable and obviously care very deeply for each student. This is mainly due to the outstanding leadership and guidance of Sr. Principal Monique Lewis. She has done and is doing a great job leading both the staff and the students. Preparing the students for the future and ensuring that they receive the highest quality of education possible is quite obviously a goal and concern for Principal Monique Lewis."

"I am very displeased with the way my son's enrollment is being handled. I waited at the school for an hour before I was approached on enrolling my son. Then once we went to the back, everyone kept telling me that I didn't need to stay. I feel that it was very unorganized, and that I was being rushed out of the office. I asked to wait to see the Counselor, and was told that I didn't need to wait, and that she would call me while working on his schedule. I never received the call. So I called the school to speak with her. She was very unprofessional, and spoke to me as if I was ignorant. She told me that most parents don't leave the school until they have their child's schedule. As if I wasn't being a good parent. She also stated that I should not have been told that she would contact me because she does not call parents about schedules. She was very rude. She changed my son from the classes was in, and put him in Spanish. He hasn't taken Spanish ever, and she states it's a requirement at the school. With only 3 months left in school, my son is expected to catch up to 6 months of what the other kids have already been taught. I'm so upset, and feels like I have no where else to turn. I only get attitude from these people at this school from the moment they start talking."

"This is the saddest excuse for a school that I have ever see. First off they can not keep teachers in the classroom, my daughter is in 7th grade her and has a new teacher in several classes at least every other week. How is a child supposed to learn if they never have the same teacher? EVERY time I have gotten a report card it has had at least one grade that the teacher lets me know is not accurate. If you can not give parents the correct grade how are we supposed to know what you are reporting to the state. There are no books used or sent home...No study mterial, No notes either. What are you teaching them all day???? Also Dont try to complain because Monique Lewis the Principal will not talk get on the phone or speak to a parent Period!!! Wow!! That shows you care. The coaches in the sports department are a joke and I feel like the kids are missing out by not having a staff that know what they are doing. The teachers can not control the students at all!! You are a teacher what are you chasing students down hallways for? There are fights and Bulling constantly!!! The staff at this school is PATHETIC, and do not deserve to be edjucating anyone's child PARENTS WAKE UP!!!! I am moving my child at the end of the year and would hope that other parents do this as well. FONDREN MIDDLE SCHOOL STAFF... YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!"
