"I gave two stars because since my daughter have been attending this school (5th grade), she has been doing well academically BUT since Mr. Henry and now the new principal Ms. McCormick are HORRIBLE with communication to say the least. I sent her a message via class dojo on the second day of school and still, no response about my daughter being denied breakfast. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. A particular teacher was verbally abusive towards my daughter that Kipp finally got rid of! Took too long doing so because that should be grounds for automatic termination. Traffic is ridiculously out of control. The police and fake security guards are at the front of the gate when all of the chaos with cars skipping the line (ON HWY 6 BTW) in all directions causing traffic jams while other people that is not apart of kipp are trying to get by. The police need to be at the middle of carpool line where everyone is going crazy and being aggressive. They’re just standing at the front of the gate directing ppl to drive in like I don’t need you to tell me to drive into the gate. I’m just waiting on the day that there’s an accident. I hope that when my daughter attend the high school campus that it is better organized than this location."
"VERY BAD SCHOOL!!The teachers make you feel worthless,I know you might feel that this school is different but it’s the same as other schools.Traffic is BAD! The school lunches are not good and they give you expired milk. The kids don’t social distance and teachers a VERY harsh on you and blame you for stuff that you didn’t do. If someone gets in trouble the whole grade does to. I don’t recommend this school!!!"
"No difference between public schools and KIPP, they are all the same thing. The kids are disrespectful to each other and all the teachers do to them is give them a -1 in class dojo. You get falsely accused of stuff, you get in trouble because of other's actions simply because of one person, the whole grade or school gets in trouble! I don’t recommend going here tbh"
"The traffic systems here during drop-off and pick-up are terrible, dis-functional, and stressful. Picking up my middle and elementary students at the pick up area after each child tags been entered to school phone system - I will be waiting in line for 30 mins or more eventhough I was 1st or 2nd in line. You will notice some staff member/teachers standing around doing what? So sad, I have to take my tags and get out the car to get my kids! Sometime there are supervision and some not. By the time I pick up my kids and leave to exit the school around 4:30pm, all the officers that direct the massive traffic on HWY 6 S are gone. Wow, exit at your own risks!"
"This review is based on my kids view of the school and what I encountered today June 7th It was a bit disheartening to know that not all 5th graders received and actual award in the public award ceremony for the last day of 5th grade How can the staff and teachers not give at least one awards to each child? We as parents are sending you our best . Is our best not good enough? This school was a lottery selection however each child has something unique, you should be able to see that since you have been with them one academic school year. I've read your philosophy of education online however you did let down a number of learners today . I hope you learn from this review and make parents aware that it their child is not getting an award then that should be our choice to send them or not on that day ."
