Reviews
"DR Landherr has a Heart of Gold. During her healing process she still showed up, went over and beyond for me. If I could give her a million plus stars, she would have it all and more. Thank you Dr Landherr for everything."
"I chose Dr. Landherr to help me to conceive and then carry us through birth because she came highly recommended by my SIL. From the get go, I thought she was kind of cold and stiff, definitely not personable. You have to wait over an hour to see her sometimes and she’ll give you maybe 5 min. Her advice is always “what would you do for this symptom/concern if you weren’t pregnant? Okay yeah do that”. I was seeing an MFM specialist due to placenta previa, linked to a rare genetic condition. The specialist doctor was younger so she was at least educated on the condition even if she had no experience. They have an extra yeah of medical training to learn about current research. Also she remembered who I was which was refreshing. I know Dr L already got an update directly from MFM before I even left their office. When I asked if we could adjust our schedule because it didn’t make sense to see them every time just so I can give her an update already sitting in her mailbox. She said that’s not how it works. What she meant is this is a business and if I only come to half the appointments, she’ll only get half the money. With Dr. Landherr it’s obvious that she has absolutely no idea who I am. My husband and I joke that she had dementia and the nurse littlerally has to prep her for every appointment “your name is Dr. Landherr, you are an OB and delivered this woman’s baby a week ago, she had significant complications due to a rare genetic condition you either think she’s lying about or don’t believe in”. Finally, when I was 100% effaced but only one centimeter dialated and baby came out after 15 minutes of pushing, she said “hey, maybe there’s something to this Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.” I told her I would have excessive bleeding and I have fragile skin so normal stitch’s won’t hold. She said yeah, yeah, yeah I’m always careful—we don’t need the specialized sutures. I also passed out twice on the way from labor and delivery to postpartum care and no one could figure out what was going on even though I was hooked up to all these machines. After a day of testing they determined my hemoglobin was dangerously low. When Dr Landherr made the rounds, she said “oh yeah, you bled a lot, but this is really uncommon”. Um no. This was one of the concerns I brought up during the 9 months of pregnancy that she dismissed because all the research and data is “anecdotal”. Again no… it’s not even that rare—there’s literally a Greys Anatomy episode of the same thing happening to a pregnant woman with EDS. This was like 10 years ago and is pretty general information that’s been published in scientific journals. She also pronounces it wrong as if she’s never actually heard it spoken about out loud. To her it’s just a rare condition she never cared to learn about even though it has major impacts on pregnancy and labor of which I’m suffering. Many of which could have been prevented if she believed me or cared to even Google it over the course of a year. There are 4 other women in my what to expect when you’re expecting September 2023 baby group with EDS most of whom discovered it for to the extreme symptoms brought on by pregnancy. But it’s rare so I guess she didn’t care if she lets one slip through the cracks… It’s doctors like Dr Landherr that are why our healthcare system is broken. They care more about money and success than the well-being of their patients."
"Dr. Kathryn Landherr is amazing! I was lost when I couldn't find an OB that I clicked with and when I came across her profile, she seemed like a great pick...well I was right! I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! She removed my fibroids recently and she did a fantastic job with the procedure in which you can barely see my scar. I will ALWAYS recommend her to any ladies looking for a new OB!"
"Dr. Landherr is a phenomenal lady who you can trust and feel heard. She has provided the most stress-free care there is possible out there right now. Knowledgeable, never pushy and honoring her patients wishes. I delivered vaginally my second child with 7 pushes, thankfully to her guidance on how to push. She has made the birth of my child an unforgettable true birthing experience that I will forever cherish. Blessings to Dr. Landherr and her team!"
"I’m disappointed to be writing this review of my experience with AAOBGYN and Dr. Landherr. I started seeing Dr. Landherr last year for a reoccurring health issue. Dr. Landherr was both kind and straightforward with the care she provided during my appointments and eventual surgery for said health issue. It made perfect sense to continue seeing her for my yearly exam and other needs. Unfortunately, I’ve had quite the opposite experience since. The treatment I’ve been given in my subsequent visits (for a new, separate health concern) has yielded absolutely zero empathy or respect. I have been consistently seen 40 minutes to a full hour after my scheduled visit and I rarely receive callbacks to my voicemails left to her nurse’s line. I understand AAOBGYN is a large practice, and Dr. Landherr is booked to the brim, but I would welcome an apology for tardiness or total lack of communication. Typically, I’d shrug these kind of inconveniences off, but when paired with Dr. Landherr’s blasé tone and vague plan of care for my ongoing health concerns…I can’t. Additionally, I spoke with the clinic’s director to voice my worry over my experience. Though it was a good conversation, I didn’t see any accountability come from it. The director spoke to me a second time to tell me that she only spoke with Dr. Landherr’s team - not Dr. Landherr directly. That’s helpful, but ultimately Dr. Landherr didn’t receive any of the feedback the director and I discussed (to my knowledge). I normally don’t write reviews, but was compelled to share the above because I sincerely felt that I wasn’t heard. I think it’s ridiculous that I’ve had make plea for help from a healthcare provider only to be met with below minimum effort."
