"I was not called by the office to tell me my appointment was canceled. My appointment is scheduled tomorrow and I get a text saying appointment canceled. I attempted, on the icy road, to get to a ultrasound appointment and was late. I was on hold for half the way I was driving to get to the place to let them know I was running late due to the ice on the road. My appointment for my ultrasound was 4:30 p.m. . I had an appointment the next day with the doctor at 11:00 a.m. . At 5:35 p.m. I get a text saying my doctor's appointment was canceled. It was very cold to me to just cancel my appointment without calling me or telling me what happened. I have to go inside the Kelsey seybold online to see a message saying my appointment was canceled because I didn't go to the ultrasound. I'll pick another doctor's office. When I went for my initial appointment last month I booked the appointment saying what specifically I was looking for, and it was a medication to control bleeding. However instead of talk about that, I didn't get a well woman exam like I thought I was and all the doctor said was he recommends a hysterectomy. Nothing was discussed about the medication to control bleeding. I was not having any severe symptoms that would require him talking about a hysterectomy except for the bleeding that caused me to be anemic. I had to call the office back to ask what about the medication that I asked for to control bleeding and I was told I had to do a ultrasound first. I don't have a problem doing the ultrasound, however with the icy roads I got penalized and my appointment got canceled. I don't understand how he can't discuss a medication when it's known that I have fibroids and I have old medical records from a previous doctor. I wasn't there to discuss surgery options, I was there to discuss medications. I did the blood work and paid out of pocket for it which all confirmed that I was anemic due to the fibroids. Something I already told the doctor and I had lab work few months prior to that. But I had to repeat the blood work again and pay out of pocket because my insurance already covered the labs few months before. I'm taking the iron pills that was prescribed by my primary doctor but Dr Young still wouldn't address the issue about the medication I asked for regarding listening the bleeding during my cycle."
