"The leadership of IDEA schools is extraordinary. And their outcomes in education have been praised over and over. This school opens doors for students to explore the health professions at an early age. What an amazing idea and a great addition to Austin public schools!"
"Amazing campus, mission, and leadership here. Academics are a top priority compared with many schools around Austin."
"Best school in the area. The campus is beautiful. They do a great job of preparing the students academically and for life. Highly recommend."
"As a kindergarten teacher at IDEA Health Professions, I can confidently say this school makes a significant impact on students. I watched my students begin their school careers and grow immensely throughout the school year! Administrators, teachers, and staff are full of passion and JOY! Not only is IDEA Health Professions an excellent place for your student to grow academically , but it is a place that cultivates a growth mindset for children and adults alike."
"Definitely not impressed with this school. When I first enrolled i thought this was gonna be so great - the school even helped me with uniforms and supplies but just a few days after school started there have been many issues to arise. One in particular is the bullying my child has been subjected to since that first week. I have reached out several times And talked to several people in the school and yet it is still happening daily. Then the unidform is nice and I understand wanting unity but it seems it's more so about aesthetics then actual unity if bullying is allowed yet my child gets a dress code violation for the wrong color shoes? The library is disappointing at best. Education is very important yes and we learn through reading and stretching our minds and imaginations and not offering chapter books to children who can read and comprehend them is a concern. Which brings me to the fact my child was switched to an intervention class with out anyone speaking with me about it and told bc she stutters when she reads out loud she was delayed and not at the reading level she has literally tested into every year until now. Some people dont like to read out loud and it's not about inability to read it's about anxiety of speaking infront of ppl. My daughter has come home almost everyday from 'afterschool' (which I put her in to get additional help with homework) talking about fights and mass punishments and drama and still has homework to do bc instead of getting the help that was suppose to be given shes made to stand and be punished for others behavior. Her 30$ idea jacket was stolen from her classroom. She isn't allowed to have art class bc shes only in 5th grade? I thought we were suppose to encourage creativity? My daughter hasnt made below a C ever in her short school career and this past week she brought home a report card w an F on it. She is miserable and her confidence is falling. We have made the decision to move her to another school district at this point."
