"My experiences with Dr. Comeaux were all great! She was very involved and cared for me and my babies with the best care anyone could ask for....Her nurse Kristen was always there with a smile and ready to help with anything I asked.....very knowledgeable and very courteous. I hate that so many people blast her reputation....it's not right..."

"I've never written a review on anyone before but will make an exception for this one. The staff is incompetent - I just went in for an appointment that I confirmed 2 weeks ago and their office texted and emailed me 3 days ago asking me to confirm. They didn't have me scheduled for an appointment. I got a letter from my insurance asking me to clarify a claim from them - they had my name wrong and my insurance number wrong. Btw, she no longer takes insurance and her fee schedule is not posted. I like Dr. Comeaux alot! I originally went to her for help with weight issues and 9 months later and hunreds of dollars (on office visits and perscriptions) later I still have no help. I'm very disappointed."

"I'm searching for a holistic approach for my medical care. I was referred to this website by a friend but after reading the reviews I was troubled and I called this office. I only gave this experience two stars because the person I spoke to in the end seemed knowledgeable and was very nice. The office staff clearly has issues and is unprofessional on the phone. They sorely need training. I don't know if I will make an appointment. I may call back and ask to speak to the doctor herself. I have quit practices when I loved the doctor because of the office staff. In medical care you really NEED to feel confident in those that are providing the care. This includes the office staff. I hope that Dr. Comeaux reads this and takes the initiative to get a quality office manager who can clean up and clean out the poor staff members. Here is the conversation that I documented: Me: Hi I am new to the area and I am looking for a holistic approach to gynecological care and I was wondering if you could tell me about your practice? Office: Um, well, okay( noise in the background), long silence, um, please hold (places me on hold for several minutes) Office: Hi how can I help you? (new person) Me: I am new to the area and I understand after looking at your website that your office takes a holistic approach to gynecological care, is that the case? Office: Yes, it is. Me: Can you tell me how the doctor handles hormonal issues? Office: Um well, I don't really know how to answer that question, but she does blood tests. Me: Okay. Thank you, I have read your Google Reviews and some of them are really bad. Have you seen them? Office: No. Me: As a potential new patient, I guess you can understand my concern, do you know, or do you have any insight into these reviews and why they may have happened and what you can tell me to assure me that I will receive good medical care? Office: Can you hold please? (places me on hold for 9 minutes and 45 seconds before hanging up without warning). Me: I call back again and get a new person. I ask my questions and ask what they can do to assure me as a new patient that I will receive excellent care. This time the person seems to have a clue. Office: I have read those Google reviews and a lot of them were about wait times. Dr. Comeaux likes to take her time with each patient and address all of their issues, sometimes patients have more issues than expected and this causes the doctor to run behind. Me: Some of the reviews mention a lack of timely communication, do you have insight into that? Office: The previous nurse that was responsible for that communication is no longer here. Also, we always call patients with urgent results first and that sometimes causes a delay in communication. Me: I explained to her that I spoke to two people and was placed on hold both times and the second time one ever came back and eventually disconnected the call. Office: We have a student that is in training and that is probably the person you spoke to. I will investigate and find out who you spoke to. The last office staff member I spoke to was not ruffled by my questions and seemed to have marginally adequate explanations for why the so many Google reviews were negative. I haven't decided yet if I am going become a patient, sometimes the doctor is worth the hassle of the office staff, however, since the phone reception was so poor initially, it is indicative that the office has some serious problems."

"I went to Dr. Comeaux because she is the nearest doctor to me that is taking on new Medicaid patients. I waited nearly 45 minutes before being taken into the exam room. I was given a large bag of prenatal samples from the nurse, I thought that was really great. While waiting for the doctor to come into the room, I started getting really overheated and dizzy. I opened the exam room door (I was fully dressed, so I didn't see a problem with it) and was asked by a nurse to only leave it cracked. I told her I was overheated and she told me the a/c had gone out and it was working overtime to reach the temperature they had set. After that, I waited approximately 30 more minutes to see the doctor. She came in, asked 2-3 questions, then said that since I am a first time patient, I would need a pap smear. She left, I changed and waited another 20 minutes for her to perform the pap smear. I told her I had some concerns about a pain that I had been getting before the pregnancy and that it had gotten worse since. She said they would draw blood and let me know. This was almost 4 weeks ago, I haven't heard anything. When she did the ultrasound, she froze on a very blurry picture of the baby and then said they couldn't print the picture out. I'M A FIRST TIME MOM, I WANT A PICTURE OF MY BABY! They didn't check the heartbeat which, I'm told, is normally checked at every visit to make sure it's not too fast, slow, etc. She said, We will check it at your next visit. Overall, I thought the doctor was nice. She was not personable at all and didn't address my concerns. I believe I will be finding another doctor to deliver the baby. I can't, in good faith, keep going just because they are close."
