"This school has been awful. The staff are rude and unhelpful. Every single thing from small class projects, getting his report card…turns into a struggle or they simply tell you they won’t help. They even forgot to include my son for the class picture retakes as he was sick the first time and they flat out didn’t care. They bark at you during student drop off and pick up and all around make you feel stressed and unhappy whenever you have to interact with them. Luckily his teacher is kind but outside of that, I wish any parent good luck dealing with the mean and awful staff at Emmott Elementary school."

"Upset that kindergarten will not be having a graduation this year. My child’s first graduation we won’t have that moment to share with our kids because the school is under construction. The school should’ve came up with a plan before construction if you knew it was going to interfere with something so important to most people."

"My grandson is in second grade at this school. He started the school year fine. However his teacher suddenly retired. Since the new teacher has taken over. My grandson has been bullied relentlessly. The teacher has witness this and does nothing. However when brought to her attention she lies and says she didn't see anything. She has been caught in several lies regarding this. She is permitting and enabling the bullying. This needs to stop. Legal actions may be required. It's pathetic when someone that is supposed to be protecting our children is encouraging bullying in this day and time.."

"Mrs. Rektorik is a very dedicated teacher. My son came into kindergarten with a speech delay. She offered to tutor him every day. We love her! The school was very slow about offering any services. They still have not tested him because he is not far enough behind. He struggles but I guess not enough. You have to stay on top of them to get things done or get questions answered. You have to send multiple follow up requests. I love the staff despite all the hardships to get him tested. I believe that is a CCISD and Texas issue. They cut a lot of money from special education resources like speach therapy and now there seems to be more red tape. Not the school's fault. They have a great PTO and lots of events, clubs and programs for kids."

"Pretty decent school. My 5th grader fell coming into school and hurt his knee. I was not called. When he gets into trouble they call right away. Once even called that he was being expelled. Turned out to be another kid with same name."
