"That teacher is a hero who stopped that parent from cutting the parking lot. I'm sorry that is why there are drop off routes. I worked with Civil Engineers in creating GIS maps so the schools can distribute to parents. It prevents students getting hurt and it promotes traffic calming. Routes are created for arrogant parents like this crazy nut mom cutting through parking lot cones because she is running late and doesn't want to wait like everyone else is in line. She should have received a ticket for such a violation in a school parking lot. Off my pedestal. Ugh ! The nerve !"
"To the Hero Coach, What a man What a man What a Mighty Good Man! If your district doesn't recognize your value and punishes you in any way, come on down to Friendswood. We place our childrens' safety above everything else and would probably have built a statue of you in the front lawn of City Hall! Rita is so demented she doesn't even understand what she did was wrong. And, if I am not mistaken, it is against the law to use a parking lot as a shortcut like that. Everyone knows you're not supposed to use a parking lot to get around a redlight or heavy traffic. Rita knows too. She's just better than everyone else. Way to set that example bar high for your daughter."
"The coach who stopped the car should be commended for what he did. This story made its way to SWFL and one thing I can tell you is that the entitled parent was completely wrong, and the news story was a joke. I would hope the teachers at my kids school would do the same thing. That parent and her entitlement is what is wrong with society now a days. It’s ok to put people in danger because your running late, or didn’t want to wait. The nerve of that parent is appalling. Great job coach, teacher of the year in my opinion. If you can’t appreciate him, please send him our way"
"When I went to this school,(I graduated about 7 months ago) I loved my time there. The teachers (for the most part) were nice, and they encouraged us to learn! Some teachers made going to school 50% more fun! The only complaint I have about my time there were the gym teachers. They weren’t motivating at all. Sure, they had some fun games, but it was mostly just doing cardio excercises. Along side that, when one classmate didn’t follow the rules, we usually ended up being subjected to amounts of exercise that I believe children shouldn’t be forced to endure. To put more pressure on, for grades 3-5 there, I was put into classes that had the majority being trouble makers, and 2 of those classes were Gifted and Talented classes! Other than that, I liked my teachers and I liked most of my classmates, and even though some of them weren’t the best at behaving, I still got along with them. If any child currently or are willing to attend to Dulles Elementary, I give you but three pieces of advice. -Be mature -Follow Rules -Keep your grades up Those were the keys to my success in DES. 4.4/5"
