"I don’t often leave reviews but I felt compelled to leave one for the detail orientated person who is wondering about this salon, to be fair this may just be a representation of one technician but I am so unsatisfied and it’s quite disappointing given it is before my wedding day. I let them know these were my wedding nails and I’d be more meticulous. Despite that, I left with my nails in poor condition and after 1.5 hours. I asked for simple gel and chrome finish and she had to redo it several times until I just gave up. She constantly forgot to turn the gel lamp on and forgot what part of the process she was in. Again maybe this is one person but I spent $70 on a gel manicure with chrome and 1 day later they are chipping. She used so much alcohol my poor cuticles can’t get hydrated despite the amount of hydration I apply. I am getting my nails redone tomorrow and so disappointed. Aside from that the pedicure left something to be desired. This is the worst experience I’ve had in Chicago."

"Been coming to Nail Secrets for years, and I’ve always been satisfied! It’s clean, has a calming atmosphere and offer great service. I used to get no chip but switched to dazzle which lasts over 2 weeks, if more affordable and doesn’t damage my nails."

"Avoid at all cost!!!!! Severely cut my cuticle on my big toe making me bleed profusely for the entire duration of the pedicure. Massage my leg with my own blood as the lotion gets pinker and pinker finally after 10 mins puts a bandaid on after I requested she stop squeezing it really hard and rubbing since it was bleeding profusely and continuously. Then finished with no buff ….the pedicure really went off track when the bleeding just wouldn’t stop… after all this they charged me $37 for 20 mins of literally just trama. Wow just wow! I wish I would have read the other reviews before booking!!"
